    Omg I’ve been looking for a cheap and utilitarian idea and was imagining something like this. Amazing ! I will try this ! I was thinking I could do several cans meaning non stop hole making while cook can are reheating 😅

      Part of me was really loving this but part of me was thinking of time factor re-heating the can. Duh??? Like the old days when they used an iron heated on the wood burning stove....they had more than one iron. THANK YOU...Jesus bless.

    You had me with ‘I caught the bathroom on fire’… love this solution for those of us prone to catching things on fire. I just caused a fire on the patio recently.

      @@OrganicRawRootsFarmDid it tonight and worked well. Though I made the mistake of a can with a lip so had some inconsistency. Next time will find a can with no lip (amazing how when you need one there is no can to be found in your recycling bin or odds'n'end collection).

    Yes I can do that, we have a cast iron pot that we use for building outside fires on the patio. I need to get up and do that!

      it saves so much money and you can get the big fruit cans and have bigger holes... I didnt think of that til a few weeks ago hahahaha.... some much easier to me... thanks for stopping by

    I wonder if you flip the can the other way and put coals inside if it would stay hot enough so you wouldn't have to keep reheating it 🤔

    This is terrific. I love his ingenuity and the fact that you were ok with his solution. Did you use charcoal or just some wood? You could easily use different size cans for whatever the plant size calls for. Really great!!! Jesus bless.

    I love that!!! I've had 3 back surgeries and that would be a big help for me. I actually have a mini torch from Harbor Freight (I think) but still have to bend!

      Thanks for coming over an watching... I think alot of people will be on budgets for awhile. So this is perfect. If you got a tin can a stick or rod.. Fire is free pretty much. IT WORKS. And I watched a few videos with a torch I would of set the whole place on fire and burnt the whole fabric up. They like dive on that thing hahaha. Love your girl stay safe

    I wonder...if you were to turn the can right side up and drop in a few briquets of charcoal if the bottom of the can would stay hot enough to burn holes without stopping??

    This is great. How can you singe the edges so they don't unravel? I just have a small garden and just want to singe the edges on a few strips of the landscape fabric. Do you have any ideas?

      I use a hand torch. It kind of looks like a larger lighter, but it has a serious flame.

    This is very clever but it will take a day and half to make the holes. Use a click, long nose,BBQ lighter and just burn away!!

      It took me less then and hour to do about three of those i just did it for my sunflowers... I didnt put then in rows...

      The heat seals the end so it doesn't unravel. I forgot to say that.. man reason was to not waste propane. I seen people use a whole tank to make holes. Thanks for watching..

      Its for sunflowers... An it did the trick I needed. I didn't have weeds to start.. CAUSE its in a HAY field... LOL!!!! And we have sand... We still use it... SO............
      Plus it taught alot of people that love the idea of not wasting money on propane...That tagged me in there videos or Instagram post!!! Now do veggies I do them different... So, It's an idea you use and do it your way....
