Fantastic...really difficult and the horses are top trained
The heads are down as they are using their backs which is a balanced way to work for a 4 legged animal
The mouths are frothing as their mouths are relaxed as they are confident in the bits aid to them for direction and the correct use of hands on the reins to the bit in the mouth is evidenced by frothing mouths !

The heads are not tied down - they can rise as high as a horse might want!
But they don’t want to do that when they are clear the driver is in charge and they are part of the team
Horses are very herd animals still and they are happiest with a kind strong leader and they know their place in the heir achy
If you don’t drive horses - then don’t comment ‘poor horses !’
They only drive that fluently because they have the best training and best care and outstanding direction from BE!
I drive a pair of ponies - who also love to work with me when we compete!
I work all hours for them and with them and I trust them and they trust me !
So don’t comment out of ignorance !!
Just a quick question at the end the horse or horses where foaming at the mouth is that because of the bit or what and why tie their head down....?? I am not saying anything negative just curious

Had to Google Boyd Exell. He is Australian and his team is now represented by some 45 horses, of which two are hunters, 15 are black horses for the outdoor team; nine are bay horses for the indoor team - a mixture of Russian Orlov, Holsteiner and Cleveland Bay cross Thoroughbred imported from Bob Edwards in Australia. Wow!
