Corupá é a cidade onde meu sogro mora. Rio Negro é a cidade onde eu moro.
Santa Catarina is a state that received a large number of German immigrants, while the state of Paraná has a large number of Slavic immigrants (Polish, Ukrainian and Russian). Curitiba is the second city with the largest number of Polish descendants outside of Poland (behind only Texas in the United States of America).
Wow, thanks for the info! We were really surprised by the amount of German architecture and influence present. We even came across many Brazilians who spoke some degree of German. Super interesting stuff.
@@GentleSpin You also passed close to the cities of Prudentópolis and Mallet in Paraná, which have between 60-80% of the population of Ukrainian and Polish descendants and many also speak the native language of these countries. The state of São Paulo has 15 million descendants of Italians and 2 million Japanese (the largest Japanese community outside Japan). Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro are more Portuguese and African. Brazil is very diverse. Soon I'm going to visit your country, Scotland. ❣️

SORRY TO HEAR THAT. HOPE YOU ARE STILL ENJOYING THE TRIP.
@@ricardo6606 it's part of the journey and we've accepted it. We're still very much enjoying it 😃
Any plans to visit Curitiba?
Não, eles estão saindo do Brasil por Foz do Iguaçu e seguindo viagem rumo ao norte. Tem prazo de sair por que expira o visto.
Unfortunately we didn't have time due to our visa running out! It's on the list for next time we're in Brazil though.
