Yes, charcoal is great for filtering spirits, We actually offer a range of carbon filters and activated carbon products specifically designed for this purpose. As for copper, it can definitely help to eliminate unwanted odours when added in small amounts. Through trials, we’ve found that incorporating copper saddles or a small copper sheet can enhance the overall quality of the spirit, although the difference may not be drastic. This is primarily to remove undesirable flavours and smells, but for dark spirits, you generally want to preserve the natural flavours rather than strip them away. Hope this helps!
