Just goes to show you nowadays these players running too much with this new era NBA run and gun shooting threes. Faster pace games creating more injuries.
The other Magic players really have to step it up now. When Paolo got injured, it was already somewhat clear that Franz would take on the star player role and be the main producer in this team as he already was "a" big factor during the last two years. Now it's really the Wild West in Orlando. You have no designated star to lead this team while both Franz and Paolo are out. Suggs, Mo, Tristan (even as a Rookie), KCP especially and the whole team need to pick up the slack and perform like they never have before (or for a long time). I fear this is going to drive Paolo to rush his return to help the team maintain a top playoff seat in the east while it would probably have been better to fully heal looking at his career as a whole. Let's hope they still do kind of well to allow Paolo and then Franz to return fully healthy and ready to attack come new year, allstar break and, most importantly, playoff time.
I know it cannot be helped, but the frequent injuries are one reason why NBA television ratings are down. Fans want to see their favorite players, and when they are injured it's not the same excitement.
As a Knick fan trust me it’s going to make your team better you’ll know what you have from all you’re other players and you’ll know where you need to upgrade, you guys are already defense oriented so that helps
This is KCP, One year great, 2 years mediocre.. one year great, 2 years mediocre.. when the Lakers got rid of him, it was the years he had the bag and played like trash.. p.s. There really are no reasons to trust him now..
The solution is simple: keep losing until either one of your 2 stars come back. You might lose your top playoff seating, but if you can at least get into the playoff and not face Celtics in 1st round that should be fine
@@MikeLoveThyself It was weird. I was leaning over, doing some curls with a 25 pound bar. Normally I would be sitting on a solid bench. But for some reason I tried doing it on my bed. The cushioning of the mattress kind of made me bounce slightly while lifting. I guess the uneven pressure on the muscle tore it.
To all those fans who were worried about franz numbers dipping when paolo returned, as if they havent played great together for 2 seasons already. Like those fans cared more about franz dropping 30 every night than playing team ball. 1 players carrying such a big load every night isnt cool. Instead of worrying about his numbers dipping when paolo returned they should have been welcoming the return of paolo to take some of the load off franz. I never believed those folks were magic fans anyhow. Because magic fans already were aware that paolo and franz compliments each other well on the court, and defer to one another all the time, based on matchups and which of the two got it going from game to game. Magic fans already knew how good franz was.
The season is like 5 months long. That's like 20 weeks, or so. Paolo 6-8 weeks, and franz 4 weeks before being re-evaluated, isn't anywhere near the majority of the season. Soon a paolo comes back franz will be 2 weeks or so right behind him. They will be on the court together by mid January.
@ re evaluated doesn’t mean ready to play they still gotta ramp up Franz not coming back til after all star break minimum Paolo injury happened last month so mid January sounds about right but they both will miss at least 30 games
Its interesting how during the Lebron Era, the league pushed and pushed to make the game faster and faster. And now they are wondering why everyone is hurt when the physical strain is much larger and you expect them to play 70+ games a year
U can blame Steve Kerr, Steph Curry, and the whole Warriors offense for that. U can also blame them for the entire league becoming a 3 pt shooting contest to the point where every player on the court thinks they’re a splash brother.
@@adh2298 I have no problem with the increase in three point shooting. Its the pace that is a problem. Three point shooting is not the problem causing injuries. Its all the freaking running. That's unrelated

Banchero and Wagner with the exact same injury... wow
It’s not a bad thing they could end up getting Cooper Flagg. As a Spurs fan I hope he doesn’t go to the Wizards or Detroit

Wow that’s the worst thing ever - Lakers are being harshly judged
Really same injury as Bancharo..🤔
How are they training? Why do both stars have the same injury? Can they improve something with a better training or a other fitness coach?
How will the Magic ever score 100 now????????? Feel bad for them!!!!
Another oblique tear? What the hell is the training staff doing?
Exactly. That's 2 Oblique injuries to your 2 best players. This is on the training staff.

If Orlando manage to score 70 ppg without Paolo and Franz I'll be amazed. Being a Magic fan has been rough.
Jalen Suggs....time to see you jack up 25 shots ...you are capable.

The first honest assessment of KCP I've seen. He's been mid to below average since the Nuggs ring.

Howd you tear yours?

I wonder how they can have the same exact injury at the same side!
Game planning against the Magic will now be very simple....DOUBLE team Suggs!!!!!!
watched game and didn't see it...torn oblique takes quite a while..slow healing process.6-8 weeks...longer if he needs surgery...12+
Gonna go lay under the Christmas tree to remind my family that I'm a gift.🎁

I’m a sixers fan, I watched the game ln, when did he get hurt?? Anyone have a clue ?
I was wondering the same thing! Wasn’t he in at the end of the game too?
I think I saw it in the mid 3rd Q when he was chasing PG around a Drummond screen. He played out the game but was hobbling a lot after that
Magic should consider a trade for Vuc and/or Zach
