    He would've averaged 40 in his best scoring seasons in that era because the League was handicapped by the Illegal Defense and no Zone Defense rules which would've made it so much easier for him to score in 1 on 1 iso because teams weren't allowed to send help on the weak side of the floor and double the best player on the opposing team as soon as they drive to the rim or catch the ball in the mid range and if anyone allows any great player like Steph to blow by them and drive into the paint with no help then they will get scored on every single time 💯

    Not because offenses have gotten too good. The NBA has changed the rules and the way the officials call the game. They did this on purpose because they scoring is exciting.

    You guys just don't understand, a video game is not going to emulate culture. If he's not getting pressed and trapped 94 ft for 48 minutes, hand checked, a forearm jammed in his side and a chest bumping him constantly when he tries to screen and peel or cut in not to mention the bigs knocking him on his ass when trying to score on the inside then this simulation is pointless.

  • @Seekingthetruth-tv5kv
    @Seekingthetruth-tv5kv 6 месяцев назад

    The question is not would he survive the question is what coach would have had a system where he could take the shots he takes now? Half court shots made or missed would have had him benched

    • @brianschwartz7937
      @brianschwartz7937 6 месяцев назад

      Don Nelson (Warriors coach at the time) would have allowed it just like Kerr did in the 2010's.
      The reason a coach would bench a guy for shooting like that is because every other player in the history of the game can't make it. Steph Curry isn't every other player. Curry repeatedly proves he can, and does it at a high enough rate to justify it.
      The NBA 3-pt line is 23'-9"......Steph Curry hits 30+ foot shots at a rate of 40.5%, which puts him on par with Reggie Miller's ability to hit 3s from anywhere. Nobody's benching a guy with that range and consistency.

    Look, guys, I'm not saying that Steph Curry's not one of the greatest players ever. I'm just saying that he would have a hard time adjusting to that era of basketball. It doesn't matter what he does in this era. It's a totally different game back. Then people could be mean to you. He would definitely have to play through cheap shots and horrible fails. Remember he was hurt twice in this era.
    And there would be no resting He would still be great of course

    You really can’t tell what’s going to happen on a video game. You’re not going to get the opponents to play the real kind of defense that was being played then. I’m not saying he isn’t a great shooter. He definitely is but multiple players and coaches have come out and said that defense is pretty much dead now and it’s just both teams running down the court to take a three-point shot. There is no more defense and there really hasn’t been any defense in almost 7 or eight years now it feels like. I don’t want to hear that. This generation is better than the others when they can’t even play a full season. This is definitely the cupcake era of the NBA.
