We need more Plan B's!!!
love him even more now, what an amazing guy.
Respect Drew massively with the Ill Manors project, he speaks the truth, true artist..
we need more of this honesty.
such an insightful guy seen him live twice and he was amazing both times
This man has changed throughout his career, for good. Such a lad.
What an amazing young man!
I think it's great that so many people are having a debate about the key issues raised in this song and in the current time, music can be a very powerful tool
I agree with him on a lot of these issues. Especially reading or seeing a negative news story and struggling to just forget about it.
Great Interview. Respect to this dude.
Ben is such a brilliant contribution to society, he opens people's eyes to.the truth. The interview didn't need the music in the background. Just Ben's exceptional view on the world made it good enough to listen to.
Absolutely agree. Massive thumbs up.
Man a rapper who actually deals with real issues.
thankyouuuu !
Great interview!
I bought his first record the day it came out; when his second came out I switched off. He's absolutely won me back.
Real talk! Keep educating!
Mate, we haven't all forgotten about them kids. Some of us are fighting every day for em, and what you're doing I hope and pray is gonna help make a real difference. Something has gotta give, we can't keep treating our young people the way society has done.
I hope this blows up big style, it needs to.
EVERYONE ! Watch the music video if you haven't already and share it ! everyone needs to see his music video. Good job Ben, Glad you're back.
I work in the Student movement but come from a background that is not privileged and I have to say Plan, so many people with expensive degrees could learn so much from you. SO MUCH RESPECT!
i love this guy, he understands the issues thats affecting this country and he's addressing them in his own way, the way he knows best through his music. nuff respect goes out to plan b
I actually respect this man so much!
Great words of wisdom from Ben...
I love this!
incredible video/song.. he chooses his words well in this interview. well done.
"If money's good for one thing, it's making other people happy."
Excellent.
Love Plan B and ill mannors now!!!
Well done. You switched around the context of the sentence.
This whole interview is REAL talk, especially 14:18 - “Maybe your educated academically, but you need to go out there and get some life experience under your belt”. That's so true! If faced with a challenging situation a qualification might help you, but past experience in a similar situation makes it a lot more likely that you will know what to do to solve the problem. How come none of the people in charge of this country were brought up in a council estate?. Real talk Ben, real talk.
Agreed. He is a role model that they need.
Gotta say, im very impressed. Very well spoken and comes across as an intelligent bloke
Ben speaks so much truth, he opens my eyes to everything. One of the best musicians around.
this is exactly right. It needs a whole generation to change their perspective and cancel out the negativity of their older generations.
"I'll win you back" - love it
great music
Amazing guy!
yeah i used to listen to them quite a lot lol
Exactly what I was thought!
Spot on. I'm with him
this guy is wide awake and a fucking star in my book RESPECT
I love what Plan B talks about here and I love this tune. I wasn't such a big Plan B fan before this but by Lord I hope this guy makes it to the top because listening to him here and this tune, I'm now a massive fan 100%.
Plan B...you are a DON!
Top boi, Keep it up
this is real talk!
'well said' the song makes perfect sense and sends the message Plan B wanted
This guy is truly an artist with real issues on his mind
This guy is a legend.. Nuff said
Couldn't agree more.
Inspiration
I remember when this was first aired, I was amazed at how he speaks such with such honesty and his use of the english language was pretty good. Rate him as a spitter, rapper, actor and director - big up Ben Drew and his message the film and the track are gonna be awesome :D
ben drew u da man ,,, keep speakin up ya got more lovers than haters ... trust man
Great interview, this is why I admire Plan B as a musician because he's much more than that and he's legit to his fans.
thank you a someone with sense. where you come from does not define you its where you go that does
8:50 so motivational! RESPECT
Oh god i loved his stuff over the last few years (not Rap) but i really love this Rap !
and finally, went to public school obv. thru secondary, then my parents paid for my university ed, together with a couple small academic scholarships and the tiny subsidy that the state now provides for public universities here.
I am from an upper middle class family and thus dont have to work part time during the academic year or take on debts. I have the basic honesty to say that that is an enormous advantage.
F%$K what a great song & vid can`t wait for the album
Well said
I never said he wasn't making soul music before, just saying its good he got back to what he does best...
amen to that pal.
He is a very intelligent man. I really admire him
Just heard my first Immortal Technique track. Blew my goddamn mind.
BIG UP PLAN B!!
That last thing he said was brilliant
True words
We're the sweeney, and we ain't had any dinner, top bwoy, very articulate...... nice to see someone trying to better his surroundings using his public profile for good.
Utmost Respect
I live in Liverpool, and I've been hearing that phrase for years mate. It does stand for Council House and Violence originally, or what people think it means
i love them lol
Totally agree.
THIS!
hes from forest gate. very proud of him.
Plan B speaks the truth, I hear what you're saying man, you're doing a good thing, keep it up.
He's some boy like, speaking the truth the best way he knows how!
I respect Plan B for this, i understood everything he was trying to show in Ill Manors, i think everyone who understands should help Plan B get the word out and make a change!
I got a lot of respect for Plan B, he`s a really good ambassador for the youth of London and Great Britain in general
Brilliantly articulate artist and argument, this man should have been on Question Time whilst these riots were happening.
TOTAL FUCKING LEGEND.
His point about education is spot on. Just imagine the change in society if everybody got a public school level education.
He is an incredibly intelligent man and is bringing this issue to the light through his music. He needs to be recognised for this.
A message to his management: spend less money on RUclips ads to buy the song and focus on pushing THIS side of him. I'll be honest, I made a quick and incorrect judgement of the song when I saw the music video. This interview puts it all into perspective and I respect that.
More english artists need to be like this man right here what a credit to the country.
He's a legend. Keep it up, Plan B. I'm a 'rich kid' and I honestly think this man can help make Great Britain, great again.
Ben has come out and shown the other perspective that is not shown in TV or newspapers. He is speaking out for all the lower that in this society, do not have the power to speak. The sterotypes that are given to lower classes. As an artist, he is being real. Myself, him and many others are judged because of what we wear, how we speak and where we grew up.The looks and the comments we have to face. Young people who struggle in school are more often pushed aside then really helped.
Plan B - very clever man, glad your back man.
Real talk from Plan B here, man goes Deep!
more than anything im happy theres someone else like me in the world, all you lot can stand back n say it aint my problem but one day it could be you or your kids or thier kids in that situation plan b is the one like neo in the damn matrix real man!
TRUTH
Honestly love this guy. I admit I've caleld people chavs but Ben has made me think twice about it now. Honestly cannot wait for his new muic and/or film because he is very talented and obviosuly cares for his messages.
half of the chavs call eachother chavs round my area
Finally a rapper who is well spoken and not just rapping about random rubbish.
sick guy
Great interview - Plan B talking more sense than most politicians.
je, l adorre
jadorré
Is it me or is his speaking voice very soothing?
2:55 I totally agree. I was lucky enough to go to a fee-paying school (both my parents worked incredibly hard to pay for it) and I know how lucky I was.The fact that I was able to get a good education doesn't make me better than anyone else, but it doesn't make me any worse, either.
great song plan b is sick
Scary how grounded and good he is. He is the Martin Luther King for the rap generation, only White and from the Eastend! Speaks sense to the kids and anyone in a bad place.
madness
Yep. Good luck Plan B, got a lot of people behind you man, make the most of being a public figure. Respect.
are u referring to the stravinsky piece? the orchestral bit is a famous piece by a famous russian composer from the early 20th century
Plan B is a realist, I enjoyed this interview.
To clarify, I grew up around on a council estate, but before the word "chav" was invented. I and my family would have been considered "working class" though now through education and social mobility I would probably be considered "middle class". There were a small minority of kids who were be involved in all the crimes, antisocial behaviour, bullying, etc. who were the bane of everyone else living there. These were the "chavs", not everyone else on the estate, though we were all in the same boat
i am so inspired by Plan B
