G'day CSAN, an informative video showcasing your new vintage Great Lakes Mint silver bars, nice additions to your Whitman albums, some nice toners, all winners. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🔥💪🇦🇺 🐨🦘👍
@@peterj8278 thank you! I’m glad to finally have made the big reveal so I can add my other GLM bars to the album without any continuity issues lol Appreciate your visit and always enjoy reading your comments. 👊
That is a really challenging set to collect- must be! Never noticed any of those Hockey bars at a show or store in the past. Thank you for sharing some details of the Hockey league while showing the bars to give some back story. Both albums look great!
@@SilverStruck thank you!! The 2nd album was only a matter of time lol I have lots of bars, including the Eagle from you, to add to album #2. The hockey bars are super tough. I’ve got a couple more on the way (I hope). It might take a while to assemble the complete set but I’m gonna give it a shot. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, my friend 👊
@@mandybrown7758 thank you so much! I only recently found out about these bar albums. Unfortunately, they’re not cheap 😩 They are available on eBay but brace yourself for the cost lol I think two is my limit Thanks very much for watching and commenting 😀
If you keep adding Whitman folders I can see a bigger bookshelf in your future. Nice little collection of NHL bars, amazing you found that many on low mintage bars. As for the serial numbers, is it possible they ran consecutive numbers from one design to the next design instead of that number being for the number minted of each design.
@@GDSavingThePast LOL! There’s some truth there. Thank you for the compliment and suggestion regarding the serial numbers. I think two of my bars are 477. Maybe they started with 300? I’ve not seen any bars with low numbers so far. 🤷♂️🤔
Ok CSAN this is hands down mixing my favorite 2 topics hockey and silver bars. Well done sir just well done! Always amazed by your channel. Excellent bars CSAN. Im on the edge of my seat. In your opinion best hockey player of all time??? Based off of who changed the game of hockey the most??? I have my answer. Will wait for your answer before I reveal mine. Have a good 1 bud. Fine Play here👍
@@AGAUaddict that’s a tough one 😩 If you want to break it down, Bobby Orr changed the way defensemen played the game. Paul Coffey set the bar afterwards. It’s hard to argue Wayne’s influence isn’t the most pervasive. The behind the net “office” was such a killer. I’d have to give it to Gretzky. The uptempo style the Oilers played was very different at the time. Glen Sather should get credit as well. Hated them at the time but do recognize their greatness. Gerry Cheevers, Jacque Plante and the early mask wearing goalies also get a nod for changing the game the most. You’re making me think 🤯😂😂
@@CSAN Ok u are true hockey fan thru and thru imb. Not like that counts for much😂 but 2 of your answers are the same as mine Gretzky and Bobby Orr. U also bring up an excellent 3rd point of goalies wearing masks. I'm impressed by your answers. Even tho I hate Gretzky so my answer would be Bobby Orr but it's hard to deny the Great one his spot among biggest game changers of all time!
@@AGAUaddict thank you for your kind words 👊 I took my time to consider your question in the context of game changers and not simply good players. It’s hard to beat #4 I grew up watching #5 Denis Potvin 🏒 I lived and breathed Islanders hockey in the early days. I have a stick from JP Parise that is signed by the entire 1975-76 team. Bryan Trottier rookie year 😎 I’m guessing you are a Rangers fan
That's a sick stick!!! And signed by the whole team!!! Damn!!!! I have a Jersey signed by whole B's team from 93'-94' season. Ray Bourque, Cam Neely, Adam Oates, Andy Moog, Bob Sweeney and Don Sweeney to name a few. I'm a fan of the big bad bruins. My favorite hockey player of all time Cam Neely. 50gials in 50games with most penalty mins in history. He was tough and could score goals. I liked watching him beat up everyone and score goals. #4 Orr changed the game of hockey more than anyone imo tho.
@@AGAUaddict duuude Cam Neely was robbed of a magnificent career 😢 He was still epic. But, imagine if his knee wasn’t an issue. Holy crap! What a player!! I have many of his rookie cards. Another sickness of mine. I have all the 1980’s hockey card sets mostly complete 😳
