- Badly crushed saxophone repair. There was a hole from impact. Special care is taken to keep from work hardening metal until ready to stitch up the crack. Then some finish work, buff/spot lacquering, adjustments, and this one is good to go.

I wonder if the customers give the back story of how these things happen or if they just ask for the repairs while not making eye contact.
When I turned my sax in for repair they didn’t even look at it they just asked what was wrong

I've never had to ask for repairs before but me personally I'd probably not say how it happened
My friend got told off by her repair guy for using a really nice trumpet in high school marching band- it had gotten hit and dented by a color guard flag 💀
How did it end up like that? Two words: Marching Band
Our band directors just let us lay our instruments on the field on practice days. Two Baritones got crushed and a trumpet got crushed. I never leave my Sax on the field im to scared for this to happen 😂

@@Bassoonist09 had one time where I went to get water over at the tent after a night performance and I tripped over a stake holding the tent that I didn't see. My bari sax gained some head trauma from that night.
@@dustclothcrusader7934 Thats scary I would’ve been more traumatized than that Bari Sax. I’m scared that’s going to happen one day getting off the bus and I’m just gonna trip down the steps and one of my instruments get busted 😬

Wow, I so glad to see the saxophone back playing, both my alto and soprano Saxophone’s fell off my Hercules stand. They both needed major repairs. I really appreciate instrument repairmen.

Restoring every brass materiale music instruments can maybe laborous sacrificing, especially on the integrated parts were the functions were worth general compromising
but these video they presented were only the non-affected operational areas only dents with aesthetic damages whilst it still generally functional but still needed to be repaired👍

my school has a bari sax with a horrible looking dented bell. I was told some years ago some people put some Christmas lights on them for the Christmas parade and whatever happened I have no idea but it looks pretty rough

This oddly kind of reminds me of an orthopedic surgery like a hip or a knee replacement. You would think that the process would be delicate considering what you’re working on but it’s surprisingly forceful.

I play euphonium, and I got my mouth piece stuck in my bell when I was in 6th grade. So I started shaking it vigorously and hit the bell on the ground and bent it all to shit.

Hello Wes, Do you have any thoughts on instruments from Ali Express? I can only assume that the Bach Strad and Yamaha Xeno's they have are counterfeits. Prices are so comparatively cheap. Could they be any good?

How much to fix mine? I fell down the bleachers and high school and f***** my s*** all up. Now 27 when I play it again but I can't. Has broken keys and the neck was so bad that it just got thrown away
