Description:
In this video I show you some hidden SysEx commands which are not listed in the DATA List provided by MEDELI.
I have found out these commands in laborious work by reverse engineering.
In part 1 of this video series, I go into the editing of the internal effect parameters (IFX) via SysEx commands.

In further parts of this video series the SysEx commands for the Global Effects will be added and explained.
If you have already figured out some SysEx commands for editing Global Effects in AKX10 I would be happy if you share them in the comments. So far I have only figured out a fraction of these commands
I will then add them to the list for download!
If you have any other questions, please post them in the comments as well.
I would be happy if you always refer to this PDF list, as I spent a lot of time to find out the parameters.

Bitte beachtet, dass diese Liste laufend aktualisiert wird.
In weiteren Teilen dieser Videoreihe werden die SysEx-Befehle für die Globalen Effekte hinzugefügt und erklärt.
Wenn Ihr bereits einige SysEx-Befehle für die Bearbeitung von Globalen Effekten im AKX10 herausgefunden habt, würde ich mich freuen, wenn Ihr sie in den Kommentaren mitteilt.
Bis jetzt habe ich nur einen Bruchteil dieser Befehle herausgefunden.
Ich werde sie dann in die Liste zum Herunterladen aufnehmen!
Wenn ihr weitere Fragen habt, schreibt sie bitte ebenfalls in die Kommentare.

Thank you so much for the System Exclusive data for the AKX10. I´ll take a look specially at the Rotary effect to I can go from the slow to fast and vice-versa.

I am using for my Genos the Style Magic Yamaha software, wich use a lot of System Exclusiv.
Comparing to your video makes me understand a lot of things and relate data from Genos to AKX10 too.

Thank You of development. How you make midi controller wihich you use in video?
Maybe en standard midi controller can be used also?
Or send sysex and other midi commands from PC computer.
I am curious if you know how to send a midi message or a sysex to change the variation form a to c for example using a midi controller

I´d like to make you a question: today I received my THOMAN AK-X1100 and after connecting it to a weighted midi controller I discovered that it sounds great, however I cannot find a way to control rythm and chord from the external keyboard, so I wonder: is this possible? Thanks in advance
Hi JC,
yes, it is possible to control the rhythm and the chord via an external midi controller.
You have to configure the midi channels Chord and Right in the GLOBAL SETTINGS -> MIDI I/O.

Simply: awsome! Is just the right keyboard I was searching for without spending a fortune 😀. I needed a some kind of arranger to play, basically drum & bass in sync, while performing at piano. I use an 88 weighted keyboard (PX5S) which it feels great controlling the AK-X1100. Wow what a discovering my God! Thank you very much, again.

yes, there are also microtuning (scale tuning) sysex commands:
F0 41 00 42 12 40 1p* 40 v1 v2 … v12 xx F7

Here is a complete example for an arabic scale sysex for the Parts (MidiChannels) 1-3:
PART 1:
F0 41 00 42 12 40 11 40 40 40 0E 40 40 40 40 40 40 0E 40 40 00 F7
PART 2:
F0 41 00 42 12 40 12 40 40 40 0E 40 40 40 40 40 40 0E 40 40 00 F7
PART 3:
F0 41 00 42 12 40 13 40 40 40 0E 40 40 40 40 40 40 0E 40 40 00 F7
Always send the commands with F0 and F7

Basically, no checksum is necessary.
You could completely omit the last bytes (00 - here shown as ØØ) before F7
F0 41 00 42 12 40 11 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 00 ØØ F7
In this example, the last 00 before the F7 means -64 cents of note b. This also works!

I also got some sounds in .snc and .mem extension from a friend. Do you know how i can put them into the keyboard?
The snd files can directly used from USB thumb drive.
It is accessible via USER --> USB and the folder which contains the snd files
Alternativly you can then copy the files to the AKX10 via the Button Menu ->"Save User".
Also the mem files can directly used from USB thumb drive.
It is accessible via BANK --> USB and the folder which contains the mem files
But be aware:
The snd refers only to sounds, which are included in your AKX10 Keyboard.
It practically only contains the parameters auf Attack, Vibrato, ...
If the refered sound is not installed (via Expansion) the snd doesn't work.
Also the mem files refers to styles and sounds included in the your AKX10 Keyboard.
If the styles and sounds are not installed, they don't work as desired

Do you know how to install a mpk file that is restricted?
@@davidstojak220 Currently there is no way to install a restricted MPK file on an unauthorised AKX10.
But that is a good thing, because there are many expansion creators - and copy protection ensures that they are not re-released without permission ;-)

I have created the list of AKX10 MIDI SysEx commands for this purpose.

The AKX10 receives the Midi/SysEx commands I created in addition to the DATA LIST already provided by MEDELI.
There are also MIDI/SysEx commands for the Global Effects.
But unfortunately I haven't figured these out completely yet.
As soon as I have them completely figured out, I will update the list and show them in a follow up video.
