I agree Sbmm has really ruined the fun of multiplayer. Also I don’t like the fact that IW refuses to listen to player feedback on gameplay decisions (mini map, footsteps, etc)
Yeah me too, I'm actually contemplating a switch to a different game... couldn't find any enjoyment in Vanguard and it looks like more of the same coming with MW2
@@FavstaRGaming What was your biggest problem with Vanguard? because i realy enjoy playing Vanguard. I also think i am the only one who has no problem with cross play. (i am a mouse and keyboard player, and i dont think controller players have a advantage over me with aim assist)
@@marniator1884 I think SBMM was the deal breaker for me, combined with the crazy fast TTK early on. Eventually patched the 2 shot kills but they already lost me at that point. I'm optimistic for MW2 and am planning a bunch of content. Hopefully it's a fun game.
Yup, I just noticed in Overwatch that at the end of a match there's a little notice in the bottom right corner "press R1 to remain as a team". Perfect solution, this is what COD needs to implement.
I can't believe I found this video. This is exactly all I am requesting. A simple toggle option. So I can disable all of it. You hit every nail on the head with this. Idk why this can't be done. I have to agree with everything said in this video. I have to like and subscribe solely based on this right here.
@@FavstaRGaming it was my pleasure to watch that. Thank you for addressing these issues. Just wish the devs would actually do something about this. It doesn't even make sense to unmute the mic and trash talk or communicate and make new friends. The disbanding lobbies is annoying and it ruins the community.
SBMM is how we refer to the mysterious algorithm, but in truth, the algorithm is probably more a player retention device. I’m definitely a below average player, especially because I mostly play a support role for the team. And yet Activision seems to place me among what I can only describe as flying snipers. Clearly, my ‘skill’ hasn’t been correctly matched.
Yeah it's interesting to hear you say that, because everyone seems to say a similar story, from 0.8 k/d to 3.0 k/d everyone hates it. It would so interesting to play with a truly connection based lobby and see what the experience would be like.
@@FavstaRGaming I also believe match rigging is rife too. It’s a chore keeping up with this game and finding a favourite weapon or play style. The constant hidden buffs and nerfs, along with ping being totally disregarded, means that you’ll never truly know how good or bad you are. And considering Activision keep all this chicanery under wraps, who knows what else is being implemented to keep us ‘in our place’? Personally, I see it as cheating. Activision are rigging OUR matches to benefit THEIR bottom line. If the game becomes another rigged chore to play this year, I’m grabbing a Chronus and using exploits to balance it out. If Activision can’t be straight with me, why should I be straight with them?
Toggling SBMM on and off is such a great simple idea i never thought about to be honest. lol. GREAT IDEA. If you want to be protected, there it is! If you want to be challenged, turn it on!
I am not a huge skill player with a kd about 1. I wish lobbies would stay together. I do like the thought of your cross play as well. I have disabled cross play with pc cause I get obliterated by them. They seem to jump around and slide faster than I can keep up. I just like multi-player. I loved being able to find a group to play with. I have played vanguard pretty much solo.
I have frankly given up all hope on sbmm ever going away. I dont play much cod these days anyway, I only really have time for it at the weekend, but when I do the sbmm sucks all the fun out of it. When I played my first cod game (ghosts) I was a noob and had no issues getting terrible kds or getting spawnkilled by killstreaks, it was just expected and the game was still fun for me. But apparently you now have to make new players think they belong at cod champs.
We need to stop rewarding bad business practices with our hard earned dollars. Dont pre order, don't buy day one. Wait for reviews and give the newest game a couple weeks before buying so all the bull shit has time to surface and wait for sales if you really absolutely need to play the same game again. If enough of us do this I guarantee things will start changing.
I appreciate the effort but in the era of “free to play”,micro transactions and battle passes SBMM will never go away. From a business standpoint it’s important for player retention and maximizes profit.Nowadays it’s not about making quality games,it’s about putting all the resources into developing systems that make you addicted and complacent.
Immediate and immanent changes are a must, for cross platform play it should be better off restricted to PS and Xbox gamers only because it is unfair for console gamers competing against PC gamers because PC gamers has full advantage over console gamers in which it is unfair for console gamers. Next makes snipers play like real snipers and non of this run and gun quick scope BS, the last Cod game to not have quicking scoping is Black Ops 1, in contrast quick scoping has ruined Cod MP from day 1 when it was implemented.
Unfortunately it probably really is filled with hackers already, if you play on console, the situation improves quite a bit when you disable cross-play.

SBMM will never leave, and these are good options to live with him, especially about the crossplay
As a solo DMZ player, disbanded lobbies surprised me and has made it almost impossible to get into a flow for the reasons stated in the video.
Really good points FavstaR, let’s hope there is a few changes this year

Agreed.
Man I've been saying we need input based match making for years at this point
Overwatch 2 has strict input based matchmaking for competitive and it works absolutely perfectly. I have no idea why COD doesn't do this.
The Aim Assist in MW2 is so bad, everyone looks like a hacker with aimbot.
