For someone who hasn’t been sewing very long ,you have made a beautiful job on your purple dress. It looks stunning on you. Your such a neat seamstress . I’ve been sewing for years and even I have times when I don’t sew that neatly. Stunning make well done you 👏🏻👏🏻🥰
Again, such beautiful makes. I love the purple dress. The ruffle looks great. The striped dress makes me wish for summer. It’s going to be a great warm weather dress. And the pouf is beautiful. You did such a great job with the fabrics. Thanks so much for sharing!
Gorgeous makes - love all your snuggly jumpers and your summer dress is fab with the stripes. I’m always amazed with your knitting - you’re so talented with knitting. Thanks for sharing xx
What a fantastic job you did on the purple top. The pleated ruffle is so much more sophisticated than the usual gathered ruffle and you finished it beautifully. Omitting it from the back also elevated the look a notch. I felt I had to take the time to compliment you because I really admire what you did with a pattern (and color) which would never suit me because of my coloring and personal style. Well done.
Hi Cath, beautiful makes again...so glad you got to finish your Freya dress as it's really lovely and that was such a great idea to finish the edges of the frill. Really like you knitted hat! I never got on with double pointed needles and your reference to the hedgehog made me laugh as it's so true! I've just taken up crochet and I'm really enjoying it. Xx
Hi Karen, thanks for watching 😊 I’m glad i finished my Freya dress too! 💜 I have been enjoying seeing your crochet makes on Instagram, I have tried a bit of crochet but not mastered the tension/how to hold the hook yet at all! Xx
Lovely makes! I love that red knitted hat. You did a good job on that. I’m still trying to learn how to knit. If only I could knit a hat and scarf that would make my day.🧶 I’m not giving up. Thanks for your lovely videos.
Thank you very much! The hat was a lot of fun to sew, I do like cable knitting. Good luck with learning to knit, it took me some time practicing to get used to the tension and get familiar with the stitches, it's such a lovely hobby I find it really relaxing.
I love what you did with the stripes on your dress. And also the mix of buttons is a great idea! You are an inspiration and I’ve been sewing a long time. Love from the US👍😍
Love all your makes and can’t believe how many things you have made + your knit projects. You certainly need those warm sweatshirts at the moment & they turned out really well. I liked your blue sweater but like it plain maybe would leave the lettering off, possibly use for a t-shirt or pjs. The stripped dress looked really pretty, loved the way you did the stripes. Happy New Year and take care and stay safe.
Thanks so much for watching 😊 yes I think I’m going to leave the blue sweater plain and use the vinyl elsewhere. Yes I’m glad to have added some cosy sweatshirts to my wardrobe it’s been so cold! Happy new year to you too 😊
Happy new year 🥳 as always all your sewing makes are gorgeous. I would put the lettering on another sweatshirt as it might be to rigid on night wear... your hat and cats are gorgeous very talented xx
All of your makes are great; I think your Forsyth dress is fab! Your knitting projects are so adorable, too. Happy New Year to you and your family; I hope 2021 holds many wonderful things for you!
I got the tilly and the buttons stretch book this christmas! Well it got delayed because of brexit and I got it this week. I'm probably making the stella joggers this weekend, perfect thing to make while I'm in quarantaine 😊
Ah fab! It’s such a good book, hope you enjoy sewing the Stella joggers, yes they are perfect for staying comfy and cosy at home at this time of year 😊
Yes Cath you should try socks with the double pointed needles...I love knitting socks ...so easy and no sewing up at the end! Lovely video . Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year. X
Thank you, yes I think I'm going to give socks a go, they sound like a nice project and I like the idea of no sewing up a lot! Happy New Year to you and your family too x
Hi Cath, wonderful makes as usual 👌💝😁. How cute are those cats 😸😻...your children and Nieces must have been delighted 💞. You have inspired me to try some different crafts for this year as well as the dressmaking if course 😉. Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family 🙏💕😘
Thanks so much Sally 🥰 Thanks the cats have been played with quite a bit, I’m glad they’ve been well received 😊 oh fab that’s great that you’re planning to try some different crafts this year, I hope you enjoy them! 💜 thanks so much for watching, wishing you and your family a happy healthy new year too 🥰💝💗
I luv that purple dress, also the two different buttons, I would never have thought of that, you gave me a great idea. Luv your knitted projects. Happy New Year to you and your family, hope it's a better one.
the astoria top: you may want to consider putting on a narrow bias bound neckline instead of the band and then you would not need to alter the shape. Love your makes.
love your purple top with the frills. u have such great ideas.I am in ireland so my daughter didnt get home from london to see me either. hope u have a really great new year.
Lovely makes Cath. You made so much! I liked the wording for your blue top. It looked so professional. I love your pouffe as super colours. Is it very fiddly to make? You are so talented and have been sewing such a short time too! I make notes of the patterns you suggest too as it’s so helpful to get a guide on size. Thank you 🤗
Thanks so much for watching Ruth 😊 The pouffe is a little fiddly, particularly lining up all the top pieces so they all meet evenly in the middle, but it is mostly sewing straight lines so the sewing itself isn’t too complicated. So glad you find my vlogs useful 😊💕
Love all your makes! 😍 I also made the Freya dress with the ruffle for my daughter in a crêpe like light pink knit. And I made a hacked version with a puff sleeve by making the sleeve head longer. It’s such a versatile pattern! I also like knitting, especially socks because the are nice small projects to try out patterns and you can work on them everywhere. Double pointed needles are fine off course, but less practical carrying around. Did you look into de ‘magic loop’ method en ‘Judy’s magical cast on’. These techniques allow you to use your circular needles all the time. Looking forward to your next makes!🤗
Thank you very much! 🥰 A freya dress with puff sleeves sounds really cute! Thanks I need to have a look at the magic loop method, I’ve heard of it but I need to have a little watch and learn as it sounds very handy! 😊
I love everything you have made, especially the Forsythe Dress. I am definitely going to make one. Yours is just gorgeous. The strange thing was though I kept looking at the fabric and thinking were have I seen it before. Then looking in my stash I found 3 metres of it, must have purchased it sometime ago and forgot all about it - as we do! I do love a stripe though I think it just says long summer warm days. Love the hat such a gorgeous red. The lettering for the shirt is nice but I think it needed to be in another font, maybe that is why it does quite look right. By the way I have purchased the knitting pattern you showed in December James Brett 247 to have a go at, it looks a nice easy pattern. Looking forward to seeing yours. Happy New Year and look forward to your next vlog :)
Thanks so much for watching! I hope you enjoy the Forsythe dress pattern, I really enjoyed sewing it. How funny that you have the stripy fabric in your stash. It’s a nice one I think, I love a stripe too. Yes I think you’re right on the lettering. Hope you enjoy the knitted cardigan pattern, I’m gradually working my way through knitting mine 😊 happy new year 😊
Hi. I appreciate and am inspired by your sewing journey. I really like the summer cotton and linen dress - very cute. Regarding toile, I know you’re still tweaking it; I think you might like the fit much better with a slightly larger size in the bust. Beautiful makes. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much 😊 thanks for the feedback on the Astoria top, yes it definitely needs more tweaking thanks I’ll have a think about the fitting at the bust too.
Another lovely blog and so many beautiful makes. I have the Simplicity version of the Toaster but it doesn't have the high neck version. However I made the shorter Southbank and put a band on the bottom. it works fine so no need for the Toaster pattern! Also put a band on my mid length one and much prefer it. I'm a Southbank girl lol. I'm sure I asked if you could recommend a men's teashirt Patten with a mix of neck options. I know you replied but didn't write it down and I can't find it anywhere.! So if you don't mind me asking again. Happy New Year. I look forward to more vlogs, they are my favourite. Thanks Cath
Thanks so much Ruth 😊 I love the Southbank too, it’s a fab pattern isn’t it. Re a men’s t-shirt with different neckline options, I haven’t made it myself but I’ve seen the dockside men’s Henley & polo pattern by love notions recommended. Thanks so much for watching, Happy New Year to you too.
Just catching up with your videos! Lovely makes as always your striped dress is lovely! I love your Toster sweater too. I love the look of the Southbank and the Toaster but wondered if they were too similar to buy both. What do you think? 😊
Thanks for watching 😊 that’s a tricky one re the southbank and toaster. I bought the toaster first and then got the southbank particularly for the dress version. But they are pretty similar (main difference really is the raglan sleeve v drop shoulder) so I don’t think you’d really need both and I guess the southbank has more flexibility. Hope that helps xx
Happy New Year to you and your family. I like all your makes you did a realy good job on all of them. Could you remind me again the hat that you knitted? I would like to make it. Thank you so much and take care.
Happy New Year to you and your family too, thanks so much for watching. The hat is the frosty braided cable beanie by below zero Canada, here’s a link to it on love crafts: www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/frosty-braided-cable-beanie-knitting-pattern-by-below-zero-canada
Regarding the lettering, if you wear them on a sleep shirt, and you sleep on your side, they will be folded and might develop creases? and if you sleep on your stomach, they will take extra rubbing and might wear out faster... just a thought. Love all your makes!
Thank you, that’s a good thought, I hadn’t considered that! I’ll have to have a think, hopefully I will use the lettering somewhere 😊 thanks for watching
Did you try Etsy for the iron on vinyl decals? I think you’d find heaps of custom sellers there! Love your vids, feels like I’m chatting with a friend. 🥰
Thanks I’ll check out Etsy, I’d like to find an option with some different font choices. Thanks so much for watching, I’m so glad my vlog feels like chatting with a friend that’s so nice 🥰
Hello, I really enjoy watching your vlogs. You make such lovely things and you’ve definitely inspired me to make the darling ranges dress. I do a little bit of knitting too. I’m very novice but have had a go at socks. If you’re keen to have a go you should check out Winwick Mum, she has some lovely free patterns and has fantastic tutorials on her blog x
Thank you very much for watching 😊 I hope you enjoy the darling ranges dress. Fab thanks I’ll check out Winwick mum, I do like the idea of a cosy pair of knitted socks 😊 x
Love the purple dress and the hat 😍
Thank you very much 🥰💜

Thank you so much. I really enjoyed sewing the purple dress and taking time over the finish after having been a bit daunted by it for so long! 😊🥰
I really like the purple Freya - such a clever frill adaptation xx
Thank you very much 😊 xx
Again, such beautiful makes. I love the purple dress. The ruffle looks great. The striped dress makes me wish for summer. It’s going to be a great warm weather dress. And the pouf is beautiful. You did such a great job with the fabrics. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you very much. The stripy dress makes me wish for summer too 😊 I really enjoyed all my December projects, thanks for watching
Cleverly done Ruffled Freya dress! I wouldn’t like the back ruffle either!
Thank you very much!
Happy New Year to you too, Cath! Thank you for all of your videos, they are fun to watch and always very inspiring ☺️💕
Thanks so much 😊💗
Gorgeous makes - love all your snuggly jumpers and your summer dress is fab with the stripes. I’m always amazed with your knitting - you’re so talented with knitting. Thanks for sharing xx
Thanks for watching, I really enjoyed sewing the stripy dress even though it’s rather out of season 😄 hope your knitting is going well xx
Kath I love all your sewing makes.and wow you are very clever in sewing and knitting excellent stuff and the little cats lovely.
Thank you so much 😊
You did a great job solving the ruffle issue on the purple dress 👍
Thank you very much, I’m glad I was able to make it work 😊
Another great vlog. Freya dress with ruffle is lovely.
Thank you very much 💜

Love all your makes. I’m kind of inspired to make the toaster sweater.
Thank you very much. The toaster sweater is such a nice cosy pattern 😊👌

Thank you so much! I really had fun sewing that dress, I am looking forward to warmer weather so I can start to wear it 😊 thank you for watching 🥰
The pouffe is absolutely stunning! I am with you on the lettering. I think your top is nicer without it but it would look lovely on something else.
Thanks so much 😊 thanks I think I will use the lettering elsewhere 😊
Wow that purple dress is gorgeous on you
Thank you very much. I’m glad I finally did sew it up 😊

Thank you very much! Glad you like the knitting too, I’m enjoying working my way through the knitted cats book 😊
I really like the blue shirt just the way it is and I would put the lettering on a nightshirt
Thanks I think I’ll do that, I like the blue shirt plain like it is too
Best pouf!
Thank you!
Happy New Year. Love your second pouf and the cats x

Definitely check out the “magic loop” method for small circumference knitting
Thanks I’m definitely going to check that out! It sounds really handy!
Hi, loved the poof ... have you got the code for the fabrics that you used, please? Thanks in anticipation.
Hi there thanks for watching, I’ll have a look
@@madebycathcraft thanks.
I also found the Astoria lower sleeve was tight. I also dropped the neckline. Good idea to try it out first.
Thanks that’s interesting to know you found the same with the Astoria. I’m glad i didn’t cut straight into the fancier fabric for that one
