the most important part of that production is that it shows the guy can CATCH THE BALL and also STAY HEALTHY. both of those are sorely needed, and this is a perfect get, because the ceiling is high and he likely didn't command some absurd NIL price, which allows them to get a promising player, while not hurting the ability to go find more guys too. this type of hidden gem potential is necessary in the NFL, and is going to be necessary in CFB going forward. love the pickup.
@OK_BREAKDOWN this is the stuff I love about in the weeds. These Transfer Portal breakdowns are amazing and you do such a great job! Keep em coming! BOOMER
@marruz0 i dont think that was necessarily called for. I like Parker as well but nobody is better about breaking down film and explaining football than @OK_Breakdown parker is a good "insider" but as far as guys on the roster or opponents coming up these guys are in a league of their own. And the fact that you would even write that in their comments makes me think you are just a hater or a troll. Like someone coming to your job specifically to see you then say your coworker is better. If your not a fan dont watch
@ if you do not like the idea of me freely expressing my comments in the comment section, then maybe you should move to somewhere like Saudi Arabia where people are restricted from chipping in their 2 cents.
Blocking is a giant trait that isn’t really ever talked about for receivers but is vital for air raid and gap schemes like Arbuckles. The Gibsons on either side to block for Burks and test teams vertically with their surprising speed and size has a lot of potential.
70 catches, has good hands, can run nice routes, create separation, quick feet, big frame, blocks. Better than pretty much anyone OU put on the field this past season. I like the potential here.
Good job as usual. You guys set the bar sir. I will say, i heard Parker Thune and Teddy on the Ref yesterday and they made a pretty good team bro. I kid. Parker, Drumm, Gabe, Teddy all do great things in this community. Thanks.
Big physical receivers blocking downfield is never a bad thing. I hope everyone they recruit is 6’5” plus 200 plus hands strong enough to palm a bowling ball and arm length long enough to snatch the light bulbs out of the stadium. Watching the number one quarterback on the board. Where he goes is going to speak volumes about the new hire in my books.
@OK_Breakdown definitely promising. Ben Arbuckle gonna get some good kids in the portal and recruiting I'm afraid. It's a lot better hire than I thought it was going to be.
Easy to miss small details if you watch once and move on. Tell us you don't know how/ have never watched film. It cost nothing to shut up and keep your ignorant remarks to yourself
Love his physicality and looks to be a good blocker. Kearny is one of the best blocking freshman WR’s I’ve seen in ages too.. so the idea of both of those guys being able to block paired with their size and hands is a great thought. Need Kearny to take a leap this year because the potential is amazing imo. Need one more inside WR in the portal. Would love to bring Farooq back but obv not gonna happen so go find 1 more that’s at least 185lbs (no more 160’s guys please lol) and I’ll be feeling great at the WR position
Nice player. Not gonna be out WR1 obv but doesn’t need to be. A good deep threat who can run nice routes and hopefully he can block with how strong he looks for his size. Keontez gives us more depth outside and another speedy deep threat with size, I’d like us to grab 1 more inside WR in the portal if possible but it seems weee just targeting guys 6’2 and above, which I’m not against. Get 1 starting level OT, then one more solid IOL, a solid corner, and maybe 1 more edge incase R Mason leaves and it’ll be a great portal class.
Other teams are adding Southeast conference transfers Oklahoma is adding swac transfers I am not impressed and it's obvious that doesn't work out too well just look at the offensive line
If you can ball you can ball. It's all about verifying talent. There's dudes in lower level schools that can play in the SEC and power 4. Guarantee you that
I like the fact that you guys are doing these but I cannot watch the rewind after rewind after rewind. It drives my crazy!!! Please, show the complete play in slow mo and then talk or something or pause it and add commentary. I do value you alls input and details though. Gibson was absolutely a fantastic blocker. Hate that we lost Farooq, but it seems like this guy's replacing that production and physicality

With Mateer, WR blocking will be big. Difference between a 10 yd run and 30 yd run
Diddier ranch might want to consider a rebrand 😂
Thanks Gabe!
Dude is a big body and looks good on film looks like he will ball
Definitely has all the physical tools!

Guy over 6 feet? Amazing
At this point if they've got good hands and can play 12 games, they're superstar in my eyes 😂
it looks like he has really good game speed, which is highly underrated
I can`t watch this rewind rewind rewind rewind rewind rewind rewind rewind rewind rewind
The amount of times you can manage to rewind and play the same fucking clip is insane. 10 minute video for 3 30 second clips

Are typical OU-sized receivers too small for the SEC? Is that why all ours were forever hurt?

If he can catch without the dropsies and hang on to the ball, I'll be daggum happy.
There’s only ☝🏻
He reminds me of Robert Ferguson from Texas A&M.
What a guy
Dang this went up quick lol
For his size it nuts how fast footed he is his change of direction is surprising especially for his size
Moves very well for his size. Guy looks the part!
Is this Coach Ricks nephew???
Jerry Rice/Jauan Jennings speed and separation.
Baller
rewind the dance move
gabes cam looking a little shimmery.
Hester and carreon where bigger but not used
An next yr he will only be a sophomore 👀SCARY
He’s a sophomore this year
Man I cannot stand the constant rewinding Jesus
2 minutes in and haven’t seen the play. Push play.
Don’t know about this one. Might be a rotational guy. However, OU needs all the help they can get 😂
Ah yes the random on the internet knows better than people that coach/recruit/ develop football players for a living
Physical tools are there. Hoping he develops and can be a big time contributor!
You don't know talent and football then. He's that dude
Is he kin to jaden Gibson lol
Nah but now we got 2 gibsons and 2 Zions in the WR room 😂
Looking forward to the nicknames
No competitive catches on tape? Looks like a slower jj hester. Sorry Gabe, not excited
