I restored this old REMINGTON typewriter that was dumped in someone's backyard in the sun and rain and very rusty, so I bought it and brought it back, being possible to leave a beautiful environment or even use in nostalgic moment to write a text enjoying a cappuccino. I hope you like this RESTORATION and leave a like and be part of our channel.

The Remington typewriter is a mechanical device that allows you to print letters, numbers and symbols on a paper, using a ribbon with ink and keys that trigger hammers with types. Remington was the first company to produce typewriters on a large scale, starting in 1873, in the United States. The Remington typewriters had a QWERTY keyboard, which became the standard for other models. Remington typewriters were used by writers, journalists, secretaries and other professionals who needed printed documents. Remington typewriters evolved over time until they were replaced by computers

It turned out well, a couple parts made me gulp a bit. As a typist and a graphic designer I would have preferred you kept the old gauge with its imperfections as it needs to be machine accurate. Good job though.

Thankyou for taking the time to go back and update this video. This is an amazing restoration. So many fiddly parts to make work. It must have taken you an age. I remember getting an old typewriter when I was a child, as my handwriting was atrocious, and it allowed me to write clean copy for school. Which of course they immediately banned, as I had to handwrite, and it ended up scribble again. Oh well. Thankyou for fixing this beautiful machine and for the memories!

Fixed the initial sloppy hand-painted ruler only to use a completely different set of markings and measurements compared the original - ugh!
