I saw them live in Houston, they played after Decapitated and opened for Meshuggah. The crowd was rowdy as hell for Decapitated. Then, they came on, and from what I could tell the majority of the crowd looked mesmerized. It reminded me of late 60's Pink Floyd crowds, just sort of standing and staring. Anyway, they were great.
First time I heard of Baroness was them playing at a civic center in Illinois playing this very song. Touring hard, and pushing their music. The way it's supposed to be. Working for every thing they have earned! I could go on for another couple paragraphs. Respect!!
in saw them live a whale a go, it was the bassists birthday and all the other bands cam out and sang happy birthday. at the end the bassist jumped into the crowd. it was awesome!
saw them in atlanta at the scion rock fest. it was AMAZING. even on a bill with neurosis and high on fire they were one of the best things about the whole fucking festival.
Baroness will freaking blow you away live. I saw them a couple months back in Phoenix with Clutch. This is seriously an amazing band that deserves all of the recognition in the world. Cheers and Sparks
i saw baroness open for mastodon and high on fire last year. they totally wiped up the floor with them. one of the best live sets i've ever seen. the consensus from the rest of the crowd was pretty much similar. same with the action at the merch booth. perfect blend of the intensity, flow and aggression with a set that flowed seamlessly from instrumental intros into each song with no lag or drop in momentum. all at the same time the band seem to being having a blast on stage.
I've been a fan of Mastodon for several years, since before they released Leviathan. And I just found Baroness two months ago, and I absolutely love them. I always hate when people compare bands, the only thing that matters are that they are out there doing their thing. Melvins, Mastodon, Baroness, Neurosis, yeah, they have similarities, and that similarity is that they are all amazing fucking bands in their own ways.
Amazing stuff. I must be asleep. I did not know about this band. They do sound slightly similar to Mastodon and Torche. I like this very much and will order their Red Album (CD) tonight. Great video.
Just saw these cats live with Clutch last night at the House of Blues. They were amazing! I love all the psychedelic effects they add for their shows. At one point John was banging his guitar against his forehead to get some reverb going.
LOVE this fucking tune!! The dual vox are fantastic; sound just as good live as they do on the recording...These guys are the future of heavy music! Horns up!! \m/
I love how mostly everyone here is talking about Mastodon. Mastodon pairs well with a vintage red wine and a sip of cannibus. Now there you have my two cents.
I see how people think this sounds like Mastodon, but I think they are respectively different. I have known and loved mastodon for many years, but I am just starting to get into this band, and I think they are great
You know, I thought the same thing... then i realized that its because this guy (in Baroness) can actually sing and sounds somewhat nice, rather than just drunk and yelling... at least on the album versions of songs
@makinuptherules Damn right they did! I had listen to their albums a few times (not thoroughly though) and when I saw them the other night I was blown away. Extremely talented dudes, I loved all the experimenting they were doing with sound effects. Since then I put the red album on repeat and listened to it like 15 times :P!
right on dude. they need to come out to the Portland OR area, I know a lot of people wanting to see those fuckers live..im hooked on it...I'll check your band out too bro. rock on.
Yeah i can see why folks would say Baroness sounds like mastodon, but they (Baroness) are completely original. Blue Record is epic. get it if you dont have it yet.
thank god for this band. the bands of savannah, georgia are saving music one album at a time. Kylesa, Black Tusk, Baroness, etc. Their brothers from the northern part of georgia are pretty ridiculous as well...MASTODON!
@beserker1912 well u will see that i am right when summers not in baroness next album, also this is a picture of summer with his haircut, my dad and my other brother, my name is eli welch, summer's name is summer welch
Mastodon, Baroness, Black Tusk, Red Fang...THAT would be an amazing tour
And The Sword!🤘🇺🇸
I know Im quite off topic but does anyone know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Valentino Bobby I would suggest flixzone. Just google for it :)
mastodon and baroness have toured together in the past
If you haven't bought the Red Album yet, do it. This record is flawless from front to back.

I miss this Baroness.....
Just discovered this band through this song, un fking believable! I'm late!🤘
Might be the best intro I've ever heard
't is
Wailing winter winds??? Maybe
This video got me into Baroness.
First time I heard of Baroness was them playing at a civic center in Illinois playing this very song. Touring hard, and pushing their music. The way it's supposed to be. Working for every thing they have earned! I could go on for another couple paragraphs. Respect!!
I've always respected drummers who scale down.
That is one woolly dude.
Really miss this era of Baroness
Ah when John looked like a neanderthal. Such a good era of Baroness.
Say Baroness last night in Chicago. never heard them before, I am now a fan. Great live show!
Is it just me, or is this absolutely flawless?
Best song ever made. My first born son will be called ISAK

just started to listen to these guys...... they are simply terrific. :)
coming down from Denton, can't wait either.
So blessed to live where Baroness began, amazing early live shows.
OMFG Barnoness rules. I've flown across the nation to see them live and it was worth every penny.
Well. I saw Baroness play in my friends living room in Raleigh NC in 2003 and meet them. They are really chill dudes..When the only had First out.
simply special
absolutely brilliant
Yes, they are amazing
This isn't Baroness, there aren't words made to describe this yet.
Looking at where it says this video is from 5 years ago, I thought to myself "pssh, no it's not," but 2008 was 5 years ago...jesus where does time go?
FunThieves4 Now its nine years ago.

one word... EPIC!
wow, a stunning live performance i must say
sounds similar to something off of mastodons Remission record

I went to college with Allen and they were inspired by the bands that they played with(Kylesa,High on Fire, Converge, etc.)
i discovered these guys at an aussie music festival, i was amazed, they are so unique sounding
I've been a fan of Mastodon for several years, since before they released Leviathan.
And I just found Baroness two months ago, and I absolutely love them.

love this song
this track is entirely AWESOME!!!!
Red Album from these guys is a brilliant album!! Hope these guys come to Holland! Great musicians, this is how music should sound..
Just saw these cats live with Clutch last night at the House of Blues. They were amazing! I love all the psychedelic effects they add for their shows. At one point John was banging his guitar against his forehead to get some reverb going.
So cool to see Baroness rep Kylesa, I love the scene they're all from. Especially since its a shirt drawn by a Baroness member.
I've really been loving their latest album "The Blue Record" out now!!
most genius thing i've seen in awhile
I love the drumming on this song.
Not sure how they went from this to Yellow & Green im sure it will grow on me
stinko444
I dunno, but i loved Yellow & Green just as much as Red and Blue. Purple is awesome too, aside from the shitty production.
@@A_Final_Hit I peronsally really enjoy the production on Purple. Now gold album I'd understand.
@@A_Final_Hit what's wrong with the production on purple?
I cant take this song out of my head!! amazing band, gonna see them with Opeth and High on Fire in Orlando, cant fucking wait!!
to bad about johns hair lol
LOVE this fucking tune!! The dual vox are fantastic; sound just as good live as they do on the recording...These guys are the future of heavy music! Horns up!! \m/
sowas von absolut a b s o l u t geil !
herzwummern deluxe.
Seen Baroness 3 times before, seeing them with Mastodon this time is going to be the 4th time. Baroness are fucking amazing
I found Baroness through Mastodon. Now I love both. Yay. CAMB.
Baroness rules.
Brasil hexachampion!!!!!!!!!!!!
this band is great. fucking love their riffs
I wish I could favorite this songs harder.
That was fucking rock and roll man
@SwornToMutilate When it comes creativity, originality and just being awesome, I agree!
god these guys are so amazing. sludge metal is such an awesome genre: baroness, kylesa, mastodon
best song on the album.
OMFG....I fucking love it.
Duuuude ... This is killer! Gotta get into this band more! =D
One of the members of Devil Makes Three, a bluegrass/dark country band rocks a Baroness shirt..they are badass check em out ;)
Something very 'Thin Lizzy' about these guys. I love them.
Yellow & Green coming in July!!!
Thin Lizzy rules.
I can't wait to these guys with Mastodon in May!
I love how mostly everyone here is talking about Mastodon. Mastodon pairs well with a vintage red wine and a sip of cannibus. Now there you have my two cents.
That would be mind blowing, man
I see how people think this sounds like Mastodon, but I think they are respectively different. I have known and loved mastodon for many years, but I am just starting to get into this band, and I think they are great
I was there with you dude! I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm proud to have been there!
I saw them open for Witchcraft at the Bowery Ballroom... Fucking AMAZING!
Some fucking epic hair (facial and otherwise) on that stage.
first band I ever moshed to :D
You know, I thought the same thing... then i realized that its because this guy (in Baroness) can actually sing and sounds somewhat nice, rather than just drunk and yelling... at least on the album versions of songs
saw em with deftones in sa were pretty good
nice
@makinuptherules Damn right they did! I had listen to their albums a few times (not thoroughly though) and when I saw them the other night I was blown away. I still have The cd brian gave me from Accursed Dawn...Some of those songs he helped write are pretty sick in their own
right on dude. they need to come out to the Portland OR area, I know a lot of people wanting to see those fuckers live..im hooked on it...I'll check your band out too bro. rock on.
@Veorfolnir I liked Baroness long before Mastodon, and still do to this day. It's just executed so much more tastefully.
@JCInov1990 Oh yeah! Cause it totally matters what they look like!
IIISSSSAAAAKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
epic
@Veorfolnir I was a massive fan of baroness way before I started to listen to mastodon aswell
@beserker1912 well u will see that i am right when summers not in baroness next album, also this is a picture of summer with his haircut, my dad and my other brother, my name is eli welch, summer's name is summer welch
I didn't know David Cross was in a band! SWEEET
I appreciate the second guitar player's Kylesa shirt. Boosh.
pretty peppy audience. i know i would be at a FUCKING BARONESS SHOW! THUMBS UP!
Most of the songs I've tried from the Red Album are in B. Grad and the Birthing for sure.
Buy the Blue Record as well. Just got it last night.
