In UNDERTALE the game soft locks itself in the Omega Flowey battle, and literally won’t progress until you beat him, and he doesn’t let u die. Same with Asriel :P
It's too bad Pokemon somehow changed from a mildly challenging game that required you to put some actual thought into team composition and synergies into a "just spam your strongest STAB move with your overleveled starter that took no grinding and oneshot everything in the main story." Like, no matter how many times old men with outdated ideas tells us, making a game dead-easy isn't making it more kid-friendly. Most kids enjoy being challenged in something that's engaging, and a game that requires barely any thought to play isn't very fun.

Wally was THE rival of that game. I remember facing him on victory road and thought ‘This is it... the ultimate final rival match...’ We exchanged pokemon for pokemon, I didn’t switch to gain the upper hand either. I NEEDED this to be fun. I had my mega Blaziken vs his Mega Gallade. I used protect, after figuring out mega blaziken’s speed boost, then I unleashed a blaze kick. I nearly took him out, psycho cut nearly killing me as well, and the final blow did it all. I won the match, and felt the intensity of him and his team through the entire match. I even struggled with his team WITH a more advantaged pokemon. His team was so good, and once at the battle Maison, I defeated him again after beating every super battle format, and I didn’t hold back at all, and I still nearly lost again. He’s the true rival, and I’ll never forget the kid that was once a wimp, now a badass with a mega gallade that kicked ass

@@BasiI_ I'm satisfied with the duel with Wally in Sun and Moon. Facing him with the AI set to be very intelligent, it felt like facing him with all his training paying off. (Despite the Battle Tree really just being a BS difficulty challenge for players.) I didn't mind losing to him in Sun and Moon. It felt like watching the apprentice finally surpass the master. I can end my time with gen 7 on that. But yeah, I'd love to see Wally again.

This reminded me of how much I love Wally, he is shy, timid, but so very strong. He was the first to beat me in this exact fight, and it knocked some sense into me that it was ok to loose. I have no words to say. This is so good! I can’t take it, I played alpha sapphire and when I heard the original song I was literally jamming while fighting Wally. This cover is amazing and the drawing you made makes this even better because of so many reasons, the fact how Wally says this to the main character goes with his character so well, the way you drew him like Simon from gurren lagann and Simon is a good example of who Wally really is, he is timid, weak, and he doesn’t believe in himself, but he wants to fight for his Pokémon that gave him the strength and courage to fight. I beat the living daylights out of Wally's entire team and felt no remorse. He encountered a 4% encounter rate pokemon 1st try(his Ralts) and the camera pans to me spending hours trying to find one, only to give up.
Wally. The kid whom no one would thought could ever get far. But there he is, right at the entrance of the elite 4, waiting for you to come so he can give one more shot, just one more shot to prove that's he worth it. The sickly kid whom you had to help catch his first pokemon with. He looked up to you and became determined to become your rival, your equal, even through his sickness. He fought for himself and for the sake of his pokemon. Truly a progressive rival and close to my favorite one. This music almost makes me cry. Great job man!

This song came out of nowhere when I first played OR/AS. Like, in pokemon Emerald Wally was alright, but after you beat him on Victory road you don't really see him again. But in the newer version he gets a much better chance to shine, the area you fight him in is beautiful and his mega gallade is sweet. After that he became one of my favorite characters in the whole series. I actually just love gen 3. Good remix man! Great to see this song again!

I love this remix and character. Also, about the flowers: They are Lycoris Radiata, the Red Spider Lily. A symbol of rebirth; or in Wally’s case, the death of the sickly boy he once was that gives way to the strong trainer he is now.
Wally is awesome. Also the flowers in the place you fight him the last time in ORAS are red spider lillies (higanbana), which are appropriate in his case.
Imagine this. A pokemon game where losing battles actually takes the story a different direction. Maybe not on par as mass effect or until dawn, but something along the lines of such...

Wally is awesome. Also the flowers in the place you fight him the last time in ORAS are red spider lillies (higanbana), which are appropriate in his case.
I play this game over and over so I can hear this theme and his final battle against him before I almost never see him again
Ngl wally is actually a rival that doesnt keep saying useless stuff like hop or tierno shauna or that other dude i forgot
He battle was tougher then the elite four because it more emotional and it feels like you want him to win.
