Hi, the korean one, I can tell it’s not intended, but it doesn’t sound comforting, like, it’s awkward when someone is talking photos of you EATING because “You look like an Idol!” That’s weird, like say you were eating an apple and someone says because your Korean, you look like an idol, that’s not the best thing to hear, and when your literally just there, and someone is calling you those names, it’s sometimes not the best thing to say (They aren’t bad, but it’s just awkward cause sometimes they don’t know what they are saying) she kinda has a point, and she has a reason, but honestly, if I was there, I would have gone and slapped her and left, like people would like their privacy and not a bazillion questions

This is what Im saying because I can tell many koreans or Asians in general get uncomfortable with being compared to another just from being another Asian I seen it happen a lot

As a kpop Stan myself, calling sm1 Unnie or making assumptions such as assuming that any Korean person could dance or they'd call their partner certain words is most definitely racist. Im black, if sm1 asked me do some hip hop dances or automatically assume my favorite fast food restaurants have to do w chicken id be offended. and that bf of hers needs to fix himself, if she feels as if that was racist towards her he can't say she's wrong for feeling disrespected. Im YOUNG and age is NOT an excuse to be racist. The kpop fandom should be an example lots of idols done CA at a young age and is forever bashed for that even with them being celebrities. That person should've know it was racist.

Story 2: ta omfg do i need to say more?
Story 3: PERSONALLY, I'd say if it's inappropriate and children below ages 15 or smth then they should cover it up.
Story 4: like I see how she can be racist but I'm unsure

the one about the "racist little sister" I disagree with. The sister sounds young. She was just a curious kid who doesn't know the difference.

I agree, also that person said that she was offended by the girl, talking to her in her own language. And also the girl had said she was pretty, (calling her a idol) and the dancing comment, isn’t racist, just a young girl, who doesn’t understand that not all Koreans know how to dance like K-pop idols.

    • @localrandomkrab

That's not a excuse she is old enough to understand that taking photos of people eating because they look like "and idol" is weird and awkward. being racist isn't just about being antagonistic but also making assumptions about someone because of their race which is EXACTLY what she did

@@localrandomkrab how old is she then?
You’re point would make sense, if you knew how old she was, Yk she could be like 5.

@@mocothegamer243 It does mention how old she is she 13 Which I understand is an age when you get into things like fandoms and such like that but my point still stands that unless she was an issue with social cues (Which still does excuse her behavior) there is no reason for her not to understand.

    The K-pop Story:
Un-ni or oppa are just honorifics and signs of respect for a females elders in Korea, so that isn't too bad since it is respectful, but due to the circumstances, it is strange. I have a Korean friend, but the only family members of theirs I'd call honorifics is their father or mother, most likely their dad since I've never met him. But I wouldn't call their brother or them "op-pa", so that's strange and wouldn't expect their younger brother to call me 'nu-na'. "An Nyeong" isn't bad since it's a greeting, and greetings are polite, no matter the language it's said in. Where it gets concerning is the photos being taken while eating, that's creepy af, and the assumptions about dancing. I'm Aussie, and the traditional dancing is ceremonial, almost animal imitation dance (used for intimidation) and I for the life of me can't do it, but I wouldn't exactly blame someone for assuming otherwise since it's traditional. I'm not sure of specific genres in k-pop dancing, but most of it is from other countries.
All in all, I can see why op is very uncomfortable, and I do not blame her, she has all the reason to be. But I don't think the girl is racist, just very strange at the least.
    Story 2:
YTA, daughter needs emotional support and prefers it come from her mum. Just let her move in for a bit, it won't hurt you.
