I flew in the 1st International Ballon Festival at Albuquerque 47-48 years ago. I am 73 now. Its wonderful to see that it is still as colorful and exciting today as it was back then.

Planning a small vacation in ABQ either in April or May when my travel partner gets out of school Are the balloon rides pretty much offered year round? How many people fit into the basket? Any info/tips welcome, thank you

There are several companies in New Mexico that offer year round balloon rides. The basket size varies from balloon to balloon. Some take up 4 or 6 people and then there are others that take up several more people at the same time. I personally recommend Rainbow Ryders in Albuquerque.
