    I just did the job. Take my advice, have a lot of water I your buckets so you're not rinsing your sponge in dirty water, and do half a tile or a full tile of grout before cleaning up cause some of the acrylic grouts required for these tiles dry within a 4 minute window! Finished product looks great though!

    We did a tight set with the tiles, not using the spacers. I wasn’t sure that it was gonna make a lot of difference with the grout. But it made all the difference. I would use two buckets of water one for the first rinse and second for the second rinse, just to keep it clean better.

    Pre mixed grout... A little vague. Sanded, unsanded, acrylic, epoxy?! Pre mixed grout suggests sanded cement based grout.. but I thought that was not supposed to be used with vinyl tile?! Supposed to use acrylic..?

      Tile spacers create even space between tile for grout to go in.

    • @stonepointdrivingschool2044
      @stonepointdrivingschool2044 11 месяцев назад

      Yes, the arrow is important to follow the 'creation patter'. So they create the tile in big sections - however they do it - splatter material - and then they cut this large piece into squares, which is why there is an arrow displaying the correct pattern direction.

    • @zuliiboo
      @zuliiboo 3 года назад +4

      Pre-mixed grout. They are sold in small buckets like the one that was used in this video. Lowe’s or Home Depot should have them right next to the peel-n-stick tiles in store. They have various colors just like normal grout for real ceramic tile.

      @@zuliiboo okay, thanks for your reply. I have some really good advice from some very recent experience with using tile grouting for my vinyl floor tiles. I ended up using some flexible tile grouting which of course cracked within a few weeks thinking that might do the trick. I then took up all of the previous grout and I still used the same grout again but I added a latex additive to the mix this time and it worked a treat.

    • @pinkfreud62
      @pinkfreud62 3 года назад +3

      Lowe's TEC Skill Set is premixed, specifically for vinyl. Other premix state they are for ceramic, mosaic and porcelain tiles.

    • @jessicalacosse5998
      @jessicalacosse5998 2 года назад +1

      @@pinkfreud62 I'm guessing they mean if they are going to go through the hassle of using spacers that they would rather it be on porcelain or stone tiles and not vinyl peel n stick. I disagree wholeheartedly though. Vinyl peel n stick tiles can look very much like porcelain or stone these days, there are so many options and they are much more affordable (and easier to remove!) so you can replace them when you feel like renewing your space! Spacers are an absolute must though in any tile application unless you can think of another way to ensure an even 1/8 inch gap between all tiles lol. Even if I attempted to do that on my own, the time and aggravation it would take me wouldn't even compare to the speed of spacers not to mention they're pretty cheap so there is zero reason to forgo them.
