I am an AirForce Veteran. I was in both desert storm and desert shield. I joined with the notion that I was to become part of something higher than myself, but what I faced and went through was far removed from any assumptions. As I witnessed the demise of 3 persons to whom I was very close, and seeing innocent men women and children in the middle as deterrents, shields with no hope for survival be killed, empathy was dangerously waning. This song is is emblematic of an image of ourselves and our collective conscience, victimized in a very different and far perspective.
Was searching for this song, reminiscing this time of year in 91 when I bought this album. I found this video and I’m blown away! Great work! The intro is great which prepares one for the overall message .

This is exactly 180 degrees the opposite of this songs meaning. As a Love and Rockets fan since the Bauhaus / Tones genesis and seeing them on the Bubblemen / ESM / So Alive tour... this army mish-mosh of Angels and Devils / AAD misses the mark for me. I'm sure you were aiming for something.... and you missed. Kudos for the tune, even if you tried to turn it into military bullshit.

Please, dear English band Love n Rockets, do not forget the European colonialist dream--which most of "you" have created in the 1000 year Reich of peace called the EU, dominated by Germany. This Reich, the 4th Reich, of which England's PM trots like a well-heeled doggie behind the pink dress of Madame Merkel, uses the same strategies that America uses, in fact probably orchestrates most of them behind the scenes, and the American puppets doing the dirty work for your wonderful, comfortable lives--hiding all your guilt behind American violence, which you Europeans sponsor and create as partners with America. The European dream is much, much darker please European band do not forget to make a video about your own damn country and it's crimes (call it the European vision of death and genocide so they can all retire in Thailand and Vietnam in the luxury resorts they built on death and war, which the Americans paved the way for them since the French could not and would not spend their money on more warfare.) It would be a long title for a song, but you could manage it as I see you are creative. As I live in Thailand and see it everywhere all the time, it's Time for Europeans to stop blaming America for their own guilt and complicity.
