fish sauce goes pretty well with tomato sauces actually. It's my "secret" ingredient when making homemade pizza sauce or bolognese. Italian Passata, fish sauce and some oregano. Sounds simple, but works pretty well on Pizza.
OMG! I had been wondering if you're ever gonna do a Thai-themed pizza and here it is! I can't wait to try your recipe. And also that is a great way of cooking pizza at home, will give it a try too! Thank you so much for sharing.
Tip I use at home ( I make lots of pizza) I use cornmeal under crust. Never sticks and add that crunch. This is so brilliant. I am excited to try this.
This video has made me happy 5555, I've had tom yum pizza b4 in Phetchabun and liked it alot. Made this recipe today and loved the pizza! Kop kun kap x
reminds me of back when i worked in a thai restaurant and i convinced the chef to let me make thai chicken fried rice pizza. was better than i was expecting
One of my suggestion for lemon grass is to use the flat side of a knife or the pestel to smash the stock part. It'll be easier to chop it to get smaller pieces.
Creative Idea... Perfect explanation as always... Unfortunately I'm quite traditional in pizza toppings... Anyway... You're tutorials are and will be still on a very high level
YEAH!!!!!!! Another person who uses the broiler-skillet method!!! I use this method exclusively when I make my 'neapolitan' pizzas at home because I don't have a WFO/WBO (wood-fired oven/wood-burning oven). Fyi, I actually use a well-seasoned circular pizza pan on top of an inverted baking tray or sheet under the broiler........ this makes spinning the pizza VERY simple, using two tongs. My broiler is actually under my oven (it's an old 70's model).... all natural-gas, no electronic components. I also don't use a "skillet" to cook the bottom........ i actually use a large 12" pre-heated grill pan. But before I can place the pizza on top of the grill pan, I actually place the pizza pan directly on a medium flame on my stove-top and strategically spin and maneuver the whole thing to evenly crisp up the bottom of the pizza......... this will ensure that the pizza won't rip or tear as I try to get it off the pizza pan and ONTO the grill pan to finish cooking. I find that this way, I get the perfect amount and balance of char to non-charred crust, and evenly, throughout the underside of the pizza.
Looks delicious! If I can offer one piece of advice and that would be using one of those wheel cutters like what they use commercially. They make the cutting of the pizza breeze and the topping will stay intact
Making this for tomorrows Friday Pizza Night! I'm making the nam prik pao today. I do pizza in a pre=heated cast-iron skillet to brown the bottom and a 450F oven to cook the ingredients and brown the top/melt the cheese.
Pizza at home : vegetarian version of this can be with vegies... need to try.. Even the very known curry baigan bharta looks new and very tasty when u prepare it.... there is some magic in you Pai. I wish u prepare many such indian dishes.
That pizza is looking great and I love pizza, but not all that crazy about most of the pizzas most companies here make them. I may try making one like that and see how it comes out.
Thank you for posting this great video. I had heard about the broil/skillet method from another website, but your video made it very clear and simple how to do the approach. I've had some great success so far, so thanks again for this. One question, what exact pan are you using? I bought several different pans for making the pizza, and all the ones I've tried warp pretty badly during the 2 minutes of broiling. In your video, you pan seemed to have minimal warping if any, what did you use?

I use semolina flour for this... It's like having min ball-bearings under your pizza

My wife and I like your channel. You are not only a competent chef and teacher, you have a good attitude.
Tried it and really liked it. Had to put the sauce in the blender again since I didn’t have a grinder for the herbs but it tasted good!
I'm really impressed that you made your own pizza dough!!
The cooking method for the pizza is ingenious!
Loving this video!!
Great looking pizza Pailin!, I’ll bet the sauce with that galangal root, lemon grass and kaffir leaves is super aromatic!, so tasty looking!.

You even handmade the dough. The best homemade pizza 👏
One of my suggestion for lemon grass is to use the flat side of a knife or the pestel to smash the stock part. It'll be easier to chop it to get smaller pieces.

Compared to other Tom Yum pastes, Maesri Tom Yum paste has lower salt and no MSG. This is staple in my kitchen.

It did warp a bit, but I think it's the one in her "what I use" kit ... kit.com/hotthaikitchen/kitchen-tools-i-use/quarter-sheet-pan
Yummy! 😋👍
