I have a GE 7-4642, purchased from thrift store for $10. Took it apart and cleaned everything. It's been working much better than any alarm clock in the market. Never failed to wake me up. not to mention the sound quality when playing radio is so good I actually use it a lot when doing laundry.
I still have my 7-4625 from 1985 but it has the colon between the numbers, I got it for free because it came from my great grandmother's house, it was sitting on a chair in her dining room, I asked if I could have it and she let me have it. That's all the backstory I know about it however.
7:48 there it is! There's my alarm clock! The alarm function on mine is super unreliable, so I just use it as a standard clock, but it still works absolutely great for something that literally hasn't taken a break in 41 years (save for the occasional power outage). I have an extra one of the exaxt same model that I found at a thrift store should my original unit ever stop working. I believe my current use one was built in 1981 and my backup is from 1980.
3:58 - I just picked that one up from my local antique store for $18. This is a great simple clock/radio and is the newest addition to my radio/weather radio collection.
My mom used to have the GE 4642 clock radio (5:06) for many years, but I think ours broke and its a darn shame, since I liked that radio. This was back in the day when GE used to have some great clock radio models. You got a nice GE clock radio collection there.
I own 5 of the model 4624. One for each bedroom (2 bedrooms) one for the home office desk, one for the living room, and one at work. I found the 4624 to be the best ergonomically as far as switch location and having battery backup. Also, the LED displays will far outlast the florescent display (and use less electricity). I also like the compact size of the unit as you Probally know it was called the “space saver”. I’m thinking of getting a 4680 for the tv stations as I watch local broadcast. Maybe use it at work to listen to TV while I work. I wonder if they will still pickup the local TV stations. If anyone knows, please let me know!
I have a 4638 with its original manual. Unfortunately, the volume control board got busted so the volume is either can't-hear-it quiet or blow-out-the-speaker loud. My mother bought a 4642 brand new and is still using it. She never took off the "Compare these features" sticker.
I have a 4662. Still works perfectly. Bought new as a gift for my late mother. Love your collection! Thanks for sharing.

The 4634 will also play the radio in a power outtage on the 9 volt.
GENERAL ELECTRIC CLOCK RADIO
I have the 7-4800. For some reason it started buzzing when the radio is on.
I found the 4620
Nice collection!
