I see something like this and whenever anybody says, "Oh, EDM is such bullshit! All you need is computer and the ability to type in a few keynotes and sync that over and over and you're a multi-millionaire! Case and point, this example and any other top EDM artist. It's a perfect example of something that's simple in concept but actually creating it and making it flow effortlessly really does require musical brilliance
You can see it at 02:28. It's an LFO that is mapped to the pitch, distortion and cutoff of the sound. Down in the left you can see the mod env that is triggering the LFO gain. It is completely turned down in the beginning but the longer the note is the higher the gain gets turned up. I hope that helps, feel free to ask some more if you don't fully understand it yet.
i'm thinking why he didnt used the adagio preset or the square lead 2 for the main lead... i mean it's kinda obvious they used one of these. out of this the remake is awesome.
Really great work 👍. I'm trying to get that sound from tracks 8 and 11. The low sounding background part from 1:15- 1:45. It also kicks in at 4:08. I can see your using sylenth and nexus for it. Any tips on the banks you're using or how to achieve that sound? Its driving me crazy trying 😂
Hey Tom, thanks a lot! That sound is simply a sub bass which is a very low played sine wave. And the nexus has a cello preset loaded. That I've added manly to give the sound some texture. I hope that helps.

Have you any tutorials or tips to get that exact sound? Would I have to change the wave or number of voices? I'm using sylenth 1 and nexus 2. i follow you for short period of time and i want to tell that you ve got nice sense of hearing sounds. Of course mix is full of mud there ( heavy and too much reverb , interference of frequencies) but overall its very good. you seem to be smart ass guy, just keep making music and go get some good interface and monitors.
