As of November 2024, the direct train from Airport to Kiato is suspended. It last ran regularly as a semi-fast service from June 2020, when the Kiato-Aigio section of the Athens-Patras mainline opened, to November 2020, when it was suspended due to the COVID lockdown. In my opinion, a direct train between the Airport and the Peloponnese will next run at least after the next extension of the mainline opens, due to poor management and lack of rolling stock and (updated) signalling for a large section, that is, around 2030. Unless something changes, though i doubt that it will during this term (2023-2027). The current services of Proastiakos are PireausAirport, PireausKiato, AthensChalcis and Ano Liosia Airport, alongside rush hour Ano Liosia-Metamorfosi- Paiania-Kantza and once-a-day AthensAfidnes, Athens Airport, Athens Kiato and Tavros=>Aigio.
