It's greatly depended on luck and super strong econ. Triple goldinator early heimer or medium end shopping + golden ticket are pretty much the only ways you can have enough econ to 3 star 5 costs. The portal with the free high cost champs makes it easier so you might get lucky. Also the ionia portal that gives a unit that fits your team gurantees 3 copies of a 5cost that fits your vertical comp which makes it possible to hit if uncontested. The problem with 5 cost is that they are 8 types and each has only 10 copies (so the moment someone gets 2 copies of a 5cost you can never 3 star it unless you use legendary duplicator)
