Just started getting into The Gits a little bit ago. I'd pay so much to be at this show, you can feel the energy through my phone! Look at Mia's facial expressions, the crowd going wild at Joe's solo, Steve whaling on the snare, Matt's bass line powering through the room. The band was just about to take off, but they still left a treasure trove of music. Don't let it die!
I stumble on this video once in a while. This band was way better than a lot of shit that came out of Seattle by far!! Long live the gits!! Love love Mia Zapata!!

It makes me sad every time I listen to the git’s. Sad for a lost life full of promise and talent, sad for a band that was just beginning to break out. Cut short because of some twisted twats moment of selfishness. I know we should remember Mia and the git’s for more than just that heinous act but it’s just so effing tragic. Breaks my heart every time.
I knew Mia from The Frontier Room where the Gits hung and she occasionally worked with us. Trying to remember where the Weathered Wall was ?? Seems they played the Crocodile too.

It's truly a shame what happened to her. I'm glad they found the POS responsible for it. They should have fried his ass. RIP Mia. You were amazing.
