I made the pandora stick and battery properly but didn't work with my PSP 1000. I just get a green light for a few seconds and then it turns off. Nothing in the screen, just the dim light but all black.

Go to a menu that shows the memory stick duo icon, such as the photo menu. Hit "Select" to bring up the menu as seen around 6:08. Then, just make sure that the first two options are set to default (CPU clock XMB and Game). Often PSP's that are laggy with screen flicker have their CPU clock set way low to some thing like 20 / 10.
To make handling easier lay the console flat on a table and turn it over (L/R buttons towards you) Hold down the buttons: triangle, square, start, select and PS buttons (with the left hand it's easy: the little finger on triangle, the ring finger on square, etc ..., and finally the thumb on PS) and finally the thumb on PS) Then press the Power button with your right hand while keeping the buttons pressed with your left.
Be careful to note beforehand wich version of PSP you have before you buy the pandora or try to even unbrick your console, since it only works in a certain range of mods if im correctly
@gordoncjx True. The sure sign of a brick is when the light is green, screen stay's black, and green light turns off after a few seconds. A sign of hardware damage is when the light turns on and stays on and the screen stays black and will not boot with a MMS and pandora. Thanks for the info though.
@ JabbaFannz Pandora batteries forces the PSP into recovery mode. Pandora Batteries are used to downgrade PSPs and also install Custom Firmware on the PSP, PSPs might get damaged if it uses a Pandora Battery as a normal battery.

@zonda2323 Totally correct!! All you need to do is use RUclips and search for video on changing your battery into a pandora battery. All it requires is for one trace to be cut after you open the battery compartment. And you can backup your memory stick and use the free program PSPgrader which will make the Magic Memory Stick in two button presses, one if you put the update "eboot" in the same folder with the PSPgrader program.
Can you undo a magic memory stick? Stupid question but i know it formats special sectors of the card. So i was wondering! I had a microsd which is labeled PANDORA but can't reformat through Windows it's like corrupted although the data is available

Just incase what I did was install time machine and make a service mode battery in the recovery menu. So if you ever do fully brick it then you can just hold X and boot up 1.50OFW then you can atleast get into usb mode and make a magic memory stick. I'm sure if you had the service mode battery and magicmem files on your memory stick it would work just as well, but I actually use 1.50 for some homebrew.
Just use the pandora battery by itself becuz the MMS's CFW is incompatible with the PSP300X (as far as I know). The Pandora battery boots the PSP into a recovery mode by itself where you can repair almost any of your PSP's problems.
I've got a psp which isn't booting up when using magic memory stick and pandora battery. I have all the tools and have tested it in another psp which works fine. Any help would be great
if your psp 2001 slim gets bricked you can just take out the battery put the charger in and press and hold the home button while turning it on. Then it will turn on and take you to your xmb menu but it will brick again so you will have to download the free pandora battery maker homebrew app for psp. Just look for it on youtube. You do NOT need a magic memory card. (you will also need to have cfw.)
I made my own Pandora battery years ago which is a waste of time ordering one online. You just have to cut a place on the back of the battery. You can take that same battery use it to recover a brick or to put CFW on another PSP.
I was able to unbrick my psp without the magi memory stick or the pandora battery!!!! When you got to the part where you said hold L trigger then turn it on it magically worked!!

It was a hardware issue. *(The motherboard had corrosion on it, it looked like salt water that evaporated)--- You need to take the psp completely apart and look for any visible debree or damage to the mother board and corresponding connections for power. Look around the battery terminal portion of the mother board, that's where i found my problem. Good luck.
i figured it out, a real Pandora battery is a normal one with a pin cut on one of its intergraded circuits. not a septate product by a third party company.

You could always make your own MMS tbh I just used PSPGrader and downgraded back down with the pandora battery I made. I had Gen-D2 and tried to go up to Gen-D3 and the update process crashed and bricked. So all I did was use that little thingy you pulled the memory stick out of and used PSP Grader on it and used 5.00 M33. Works just fine now. I guess its safer to buy it though if your not too sure what your doing with it. Guess it saved you some nasty comments. ;)

Try holding home+select+start+◻️+🔺 then power on psp just on your battery.

Nah he did it the most complex way, you just need to hold down start, select, home button, and x and square until it restarts and it’s fixed

Yes. Any of the PSP100X or 200X variations. For the 300X u can only use the Pandora Battery. (I think)

Kinda, but only wit the Pandora Battery by itself. It boots the system into SONY'S recovery mode, not anyone elses. There should be a reset option.
