This channel deserves way more subs! Come on, people, sub! Flex also do pouch packs, apparently, hopefully all the big players will release versions soon. The increase in power output is down to the increased surface area, lower resistance allowing for more electrons to flow, allegedly. I also have one power-stack, I like it, but at 1.7, you're forever recharging it! Come on, Dewalt, release the bigger versions!
Thanks mate! This one turned out way bigger than I expected. AFAIK, the geometry is the main thing, which is super cool cos it's so simple! I do a bit of modelling in the next part. I wasn't super interested in the battery stuff until I tried this, but it turned out very cool. part 2 has some really impressive stuff. can't wait for the bigger ones and hopefully Makita gets into it too; they're the only big 4 company that doesn't have some fancy battery
LOL seriously can't tell if you're saying Detroit like that to be funny or what, but it gave me a good chuckle. If, by chance, it was not a joke, Detroit is in Michigan, US. "Motor City".
Lol, yes joking! I've even been there. Just messing with the American viewers. But it is a French word originally, AFAIK it means the bank, like river bank
It's fine, but be aware that putting those very small batteries on the 4A 115 charger is fast charging them - I have 2x 2A and 2x 3A chargers for more gently charging small batteries ie the 1.7Ah powerstack and the 3Ah compact (21700 cells, good pack, but get the 4Ah version also "compact" since performance about the same, size weight same, runtime 33% longer).
Nice video. I believe the powerstack actually recovers relatively quickly from when it shuts down. You state you put the 2ah in the fridge in between drilling....did you attempt to go again from the initial ps shutdown. Really curious. And thanks for your testing
Thanks mate! The PS had no interruptions in charge-discharge behaviour at all. The 2ah was fine with the small drill but really struggled with the big one, and this is where the interruptions came in. I did those tests back to back so the 2ah was still warm from the first test, and maybe this caused the interruptions in the second. Does that answer your question?

intersting video, now i'm considering buying the powerstack for my new dewalt :)
Just commenting for the algorithm. Nice one mate!
Thanks mate, appreciate it! This powerstack thing turned out to be a huge project, and it's only half done!
Excellent video. I wonder how the battery would stack up against one of the higher AH batteries that are sold for the equivalent price.
Будем посмотреть. Лайк с ходу!

Has anyone used the dch263 and the hikoki 36v 28mm, was wondering if the hikoki is just as good?
Nice video.
