Holy Couches.....what a beast!
Wow. That was awesome
Boy, that was cool. I think that race would have turned out differently with factory stock cars...
He has done some serious work on his engine. He is running pretty much what a Dodge Demon runs, without a huge supercharger.
God dam that hemi is running good 👍
My first car was a 63 Savoy, did not start with a big v8, she was rocking a one barrel slant six with a 3 on the tree...
What was your lightest car raced here? Maybe early Mustang?
I love Plymouth Hemi Cuda
Holy crap, 9.60's with a 3700+ curb weight!!!! That's why the Hemi replaced the Max Wedge.
No...that hemi is far from stock. Its a ringer. Its making twice the power its supposed to. The 71 auto got in the low 13 seconds..maybe high 12's stock
@@netrioter Yeah, F.A.S.T. cars are all far from stock. The Max Wedge was far from stock. But the Hemi makes more power. Look up the F.A.S.T. rules even though it is partially explained in the video.
The Hemi that replaced the wedge was in fact a Race Hemi. The street Hemi like in that Cuda didn’t come out until ‘66, Those Race Hemis used a cross ram like on the wedge. The 413’s were used ‘62-‘63, and the 426 ‘63-‘64. When that race Hemi hit in ‘65 it was game over. Although they were not really sold in street cars tho. Not sure of the 426 wedge but the Maxie 413 had an 11.5:1 for 415 HP and a 13.5:1 good for 420 HP.
Is that Eddie Cook's max wedge? Beautiful car.
That HAD to be Dave Dudek in the hemi cuda!!!!
nice blue duster 👀
Ah yes, 13 1/2 to 1! Back when Sunoco offered 106 octane high test.
Definitely some additional power on the Cuda
That Hemi screamed like a formula 1 😅
We all know it takes a mopar to catch a mopar
I think the mopar is going to win here? What are the odds
Crapars
@@TopG800 If there is a mopar, it's always a win.
@@Welcometofacsistube nice maths slowpars lose :)
Except for that red Corvette that is running 9.30s and the red Camaro.
Except that the class is actually dominated by Chevys.
Wow that Cuda would smoke a modern hellcat
very impressive
Hemi Heads can't beat em!
I hope to someday afford one of those
I’d wager that cuda has had some internals massaged . Sound like it revved up fast way pass factory suggested red line . And why not !
Cuda broke the sound barrier 😳
How is that Cuda hooking like that with street tires? Clearly, it is stock looking, but it sure ain't stock.
The F.A.S.T. racers have spent a lot of time and effort getting their cars to work on those tires. Horsepower Depot shows a lot of the behind the scenes work on their channel. They have a 1969 Camaro and a few Corvettes and run even faster than the Cuda.
That Cuda just fucks off!
The Savoy is still cool.
I like Cudas chevy guy always wanted one. I thought the Savoy would a took it. WoW
All I can say to this is....Jesus Christ! What a 'Cuda.
WOWWWW 426 HEMI
Make it even. Swap the highway gear for drag strip gear in the Savoy.
