Hi from Florida! 😊 I have been wanting to do this for so long ti my Kitchenaide, which is 35 yrs old and still running like its new! I love that color! Thanks for the inspiration!❤
Emily is just the sweetest soul, just precious! I love her channel! And she's almost a neighbor! Lol less than as hour away, now that my husband & I are moving to the sunny HOT state of Florida🥵 Girl you are just amazing.. it literally looks like a brand new one! Like if you want something, you definitely get it done! Very cool😊 Thanks for sharing this little diy hack with us!
I watch Emily also.Your mixer came out so nice.I did mine when I watched Tiffany on Charlotte Grove on the farmhouse paint hers. Its doing great so far.Bye
Beautiful job, I love the muted color and matte finish! You did a great job! I noticed the pin is super loose in the neck, it should be flush on either side but is popped out to one side...I noticed when you taped it and said you weren't sure what it was for lol, here I am to tell you now 😂. Over time a loose neck pin can cause damage to the machines locking mechanism and cause the head to wobble when working on tougher items like say bread dough. If you turn the machine upside down you'll see the spot up inside that allows it to be tightened with a regular flathead screwdriver. Totally unsolicited advice haha but I couldn't not say anything knowing what I know! ❤
I just came upon your channel. Funny thing is I just got through painting my mixer. Haven’t put it back together yet but I’m so pleased with how yours turned out so hopefully mine will!
@@HeartandHomeCrew I chose the dark tealish green spray paint Weekend by Magnolia Home. I wanted the Drew Barrymore mixer that is Thyme green but it was always out of stock. My mixer still worked great so I thought what the heck. The color is beautiful-now if I can just put it back together 😂
Hi thank you for this video! I have a silver mixer that is just not my style so I wondered about painting it! Did the paint hold up well, does it scratch off easily? I may try this on mine!
Omg I SWEAR it seems as tho all of us who were lucky to have been gifted one definitely got the… least desirable color lol. God bless my parents they gifted me one my senior year of HS. And it was red. I HATE red. After 15 years I gave it to my grandma and bought myself. The dusty rose one. I got the Pro in mint, but I am following your steps and painting it lilac so it goes with the rest of my appliances and my aesthetic. Loved how yours turned out and now I’m kind of thinking maybe I do want to paint the black knobs!
Aha … giving away your age … 29 again? (I pray you’re older than that or I have just unintentionally insulted you! 😮) You must be a Christian to mention the other lady’s RUclips channel … it speaks volumes to your character. ✝️ I wish you were close by to me, even though you’re in the U.S., because I’d probably thrift sell (better than what I paid for it) you true circa wainscoting … taken out of a circa mansion home, in Toronto. It comes in several pieces that need to be puzzled together … panels, base/side/top boards, which frame each wainscoting panel adjoining the panels together. I think I have about 43+ feet of it, if memory serves me correct. When I bought it I was moving into a circa home & the chap I bought it from (who removed it) was eventually going to install it in my circa home. Unfortunately, he had a heart attack & was forced to downsize work duties … plus I eventually moved out of the province & into a style of home not conducive to such architectural designs. The province I live in now doesn’t have the populous of circa homes that the Eastern provinces do, so there’s a very small potential demand market for such an item. I know you would love it along with the challenge to install it. Definitely a carpenters’ delight. Great DIY today … but I’d be inclined to buy it in my colour & sell the old one. I never thought I’d be one for red … but I’d probably go red now or choose the one closer to the colour you painted it. SMEG has a very similar colour to what you used. Anyhow, as always I’m looking forward to the next VLOG … & the Shorts in between! God bless! 🙏🙌✝️❤️🇨🇦
Hahaha yes I’m 34! 😂 Aw yes Jesus Christ is my lord and savior ✨🙏 That would be amazing!! I’m so sorry you weren’t able to use it! Yes my friend who loves older homes said there aren’t as many in Canada. Thank you as always 🤍🤍🤍
@@HeartandHomeCrew Actually there are many circa homes in parts of Canada … just not so much in the Prairies. Funnily enough brick isn’t found out here as readily. as say in Ontario or Quebec. What they tend to find here are older log homes … but given the materials the older homes were built with, they just don’t last like good old brick or stone homes! If I ever come into a windfall. I’ll make every effort to ship the circa wainscoting to you. May not go with the bead board theme in your current home … but I’m sure down the road at your next place you’ll find a use for it! BTW, I loved Emily’s channel. Always nice to watch and support fellow Christians! Contact is always spot on! 🙏🙌✝️❤️🇨🇦
It turned out so well! Thanks for collaborating with me, Courtney 🤗
Thank you Emily! 🤍😘
Wow… that is incredible. I never would have thought to do that… and I spray paint everything.
Haha isn’t it amazing what paint can do?!

Ahh seriously thank you so much for taking the time to tell me!!
It turned out beautifully, but I'd have to have the Semi Gloss!
Thank you Carolyn! I would have preferred that too but my sealer was semi gloss so it helped!
Amazing! Thanks for the how-to! I came over from Emily's channel. But I enjoyed your channel before.
Yay! Thanks Leslie!
Yes, Emily sent me!

I’ve been thinking of doing this and so now I guess I gotta. 😂😂
You definitely do! It’s so simple, just be patient and let the paint dry!

That's so cool, I never thought about trying to paint it.
Right?! I feel like you can paint everything nowadays 😅
@@HeartandHomeCrew exactly I'm always amazed at how durable paint is now.

It hasn’t scratched or budged at all! Highly recommend!
Can you use appliance spray paint for the mixer??
Yes!

hahaha right?! to be fair, the colors have definitely expanded since we got ours lol. Yay! have fun and enjoy!
I purchased this sealant but on the back it said not suitable for metal? Is this right? Are you use the one you linked is the one you used
I would have to check but maybe because it’s going over paint, not metal it’s fine? Mine has held up beautifully!
😅
🤍
SERIOUSLY? They're so expensive
Yeah isn’t it great! That because they’re so expensive you can just change it and not spend more money
@@Imthebrownunicorn I've always wanted a Kitchen Aid.
Exactly!
I hope you get one!
They are! But we’ve had this for over a decade now and it still runs like the day I got it! An investment that is worth it!
