Absolutely gutted. Was travelling on the 9th January. Will not comply with this Lunacy. Cancelling.
Apparently you can take a test on entry, new story coming out in the last couple of hours.....

Very odd that only unvaccinated people are tested - they can also carry and spread the virus.
but PCR test is a joke.
I definitely wouldn't travel to a country that treats people like that.
Anyone unvaccinated at this point has resisted unprecedented threats and coercions from their own governments.
I doubt they will submit to the dictates of Thailand.
I am one of them. Not complying.
Good for you. It is absolutely disgusting that we cannot even plan to go anywhere as governments around the world put these illegal conditions in place at any time they please. If only everyone just boycotted such countries this could be over with in a very short time.

My family is booked for Phuket next month. I’m thinking of canceling just because of the ridiculous restrictions and discrimination. These measures have proved ineffective and unfair. I guess Thailand doesn’t want my money as a tourist.
There are plenty of places on Earth for people to enjoy, for example Maldives. Situation in Thailand is absolutely absurd, I won't support it by vacationing there.
Looks like il be cancelling and going Vietnam instead. Sorry Thailand. Next time

Health insurance is required and must cover $10,000 USD during your stay 👍

Thanks for the info , was just planning my next trip looking for a decent flight from the US. This may put a damper on my plans now. Had covid 1 year ago still have the anti bodies but have not been vaccinated. Have to see how this goes now. Disappointed

the policy has been changed today to remove any vax restrictions. check it out.
I got to Bangkok December 29 I had all my vaccines and proper documents and did not have any hassle. I was in Sriracha chonburi for a week and it's thriving.
My personal opinion is the Thai Government is just taking precautions on up coming new years celebrations.
Let's hope this rule is scrapped after 31st. 👌

I've just looked on Emirates website and it looks like you can get a refund or change date of flight. I'm now looking for this new info on the testing option.
