My oldest step brother used to play guitar at night when he was allowed to stay with us when I was younger, and he would sing Tom Petty songs, and help me sleep. I remember so clearly on noe of my birthdays he waited until the parents went to bed and he gave me the only gift I got from him, due to his wild lifestyle in those years. Anyway the gift was "greatest hits of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers" I loved the album and still have it. He passed away 3 years ago and now Tom Petty, may they both rest in peace with blessing and love from the Lord. Also a special thanks to the ones who read this, and everyone who keeps Tom Petty in their hearts
Heather...I LOVE Tom's greatest hits. It's been spinning around in my car for the last 6 months. It's probably my favourite greatest hits collection that I have - up there with Fleetwood Mac and John Mellencamp. How truly blessed we are to be touched by the music of Tom and his boys. RIP Tom.
Not a fan of Lady Antebellum but I respect that they showed respect where respect is due, and did damn good tribute. Much respect to this cover. It was heartfelt, and well done. Long live Tom Petty and great American Rock and Roll
I saw him live and during this song, a white owl came flying out of the rafters. It was an outdoor venue and it was so powerful. I felt like Tom Petty had some voodoo magic that night.
Tom Petty is one of the greatest song writers of all time. Pure from beginning to end. I grew up listening to his music, and I am hurting because he is gone. I have been watching and listening to a lot of his music on RUclips. For my therapy, I guess. This, right here, is the only place I have found where there is nothing but love and respect being paid to him. I don't know why, but some people just feel the need to come along and dump on everything. I don't see that here, and I am glad for that. This is a beautiful, heart felt tribute. I guess some people are lacking in heart, and I feel sorry for them. Fortunately, those people are not posting here.
I grew up in the 90's with all of the great rock musicians that od'ed or committed suicide, but none of them saddened me the way losing Tom Petty did. Petty is the first of my favorite musicians to pass. Hearing his songs makes me sad. I hope the mourning passes soon, so I can enjoy his songs again.
I am angry that I didn't motivate myself to make it to his concert this summer.Many years ago it was my son's first concert. 5 years ago,my boss, my best friend and his Lady, and my sister attended. Magical.... This is my favorite tribute.

Very nice, one of the best I have heard. I was at the Gator game Saturday, one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. Went off to college in Gainesville with Damn the Torpedos in my back seat. He's been my favorite musician for most of my life. Tough to see him go, but it's great to see all the tributes being paid to one of the best ever.

Its sad that there were 23 crotchety Gen Xers and Baby Boomers who thumbs downed this video (so stuck in their all Gen Y music sucks ways they cannot accept a Millenial band can ever give a great tribute to a Baby Boomer Legend, do a great song in that way). I am a Gen Xer myself and and gave it a thumbs up. While not a fan of Gen Y recording artists in general this was a great and heartfelt cover by Lady A. Petty would be proud.
