    Love seeing an MLS side slap up a Liga Mx side. Warms my heart.

    Columbus were really struggling that first half. Monterrey had an aggressive organized press. But Nancy made the correct changes at half time. He brought on Matan as an extra midfielder, which helped the crew to more easily break through the pressure. I also noticed that columbus were more willing to be bold and make the line breaking passes, as opposed to passing back the centerbacks, which was Monterrey’s pressing trigger.

    Not sure if you were aware but Cucho was playing in the Premier League for Watford a couple years ago. I believe he was 21 or 22 years old at the time and he put in 5 or 6 goals during that season. It was a massive signing when he came to MLS, especially as a 23 year old.

    This replay doesn't show it, but that second Columbus goal came at the end of an impressive 13 pass sequence that started down at their own end.

    I have Columbus winning this competition after seeing them defeat both Tigres and Monterrey.

      It's possible but is going to be tough because Pachuca home stadium has at 6,000 ft. altitude.

      @@darkecho4596competition is not big enough for a neutral site. Until it is, they need to go back to home and away. Home field advantage is too much for 1 and done. Especially given the altitude.
      Do you remember when FIFA either band or try to ban Bolivia's using their super high altitude stadium? They say it was just too much of an advantage as the competition was getting gassed too easily. That is why they played at that high stadium. They knew the other team will not be able to breath.

    I don't think Cherberko could have anticipated that coming off the crossbar, or it coming down, he was also at a high speed. We scored 3 unanswered goals. We BURIED THEM.

      Wouldn’t have mattered anyway. The Monterrey player would have scored it. Sucks it went as an own goal though.

  • @michaelpeli2429
    @michaelpeli2429 3 месяца назад +7

    Technically, the Crew scored all 4 goals because of the own goal, plus a missed penalty at the end. Columbus still have plenty of work to do, but them and Seattle have shown the MLS that defense and a complete team can win these, not necessarily super stars like Miami. LAFC was close last year many times, but needed one more quality finisher. This year they will be adding Giroud in the summer, and maybe one more big signing. Di Maria would fit in perfectly for that top 3, or better yet Griezmann. That would be a top trident for a MLS team.

    When you come to the US to catch some MLS matches you should swing by Columbus! The stadium is electric and the team plays with passion and intensity. I'd happily buy you a beer before you have the pleasure of watching the world's greatest team 😂. Glory to Columbus!!

    It’s crazy how ppl still complain about the highlight quality 😂😂😂 like that is in anyway in your control and not RUclips holding you back. Maybe they need to try doing a reaction to official channel highlights and see what happens so they can get it. Sorry that message has become part of your intro

      @@BANGSOFinnaBlow One compromise could be watching the official highlights after recording your initial reaction and then providing your final thoughts after the fact given that additional context. Even then though official highlights aren’t always the best and can give an incomplete picture as well.

    I’ve been saying this for a while but we need to have a serious conversation about the crew being a top 5 team in the world, outside of Leverkusen, arsenal, city, and Madrid I can’t think of another team that wins with this level of conviction. It’s literally a team of champions, playing like champions in massive games every time without fail. It’s pretty unbelievable

    • @hillsane9262
      @hillsane9262 3 месяца назад

      You might be right. Not only is it a home game for pachuca, but Columbus won't be able to breathe due to the altitude. It's a ridiculous advantage.
      The game should be at a neutral site but there wouldn't be a good enough attendance most if it were at a neutral site. The champions league is at a neutral site for the one and and done final. Until this competition gets to that level it should stay a home and away.
