Truly amazing. They just announced that the Winter Olympics will be coming back to Salt Lake City in 2034. I think you should apply to be in the opening ceremony, yet not just the members at that time, but as many of the former and future former members as you can get. 🥇
Masa Fukuda created a choir for the 2002 olympics. The singers enjoyed their time with Masa Fukuda so much that he created the One Voice Children's Choir with many singers from 2002.
Thank you once again, OVCC. Everyone has their own chains. Mine is losing my son on 10/4/2000. As a father, you're supposed to fix things and protect your kids. I couldn't fix his addiction. But days like this remind me of God. Last night, I had one of those many bad nights, feeling overpowered from guilt and simply overwhelmed. Today, I get a message from my favorite group of kids, led by the great Masa Fukada. Thank you. I'm going to hold on for one more day.
So sorry for your loss, I lost my son 2002. It is hard to get away from the feeling of guilt and not being able to protect your child.
Another beautiful OVCC performance! They always radiate so much energy, joy, and happiness. Definitely a force for good in this world. ❤

Great selection. I loved the director's rendition of the classic hit. It's appropriate, and showcases the choir blending voices while showcasing the talents of so many of the singers. It also gives wide views of the choir, who've we've seen over the years of the young singers and I'm always impressed at how grown up many of them have become to become individually/collectively great singers with incredible range and ability, but handsome/wholesome young adults. It seemed such a short time ago, they were so much younger, but now, look ready for college and beyond. The choir has done a great job of preparing them to enter the adult world, with hope, wisdom and individual growth. Mahalo for bringing out the best in each/every one of them.

I miss the younger singers. Hearing not teenagers but younger children sing goes so deep it produces goosebumps.
I think this song is better sung by teenagers because they're starting to navigate the hardships of life. Young children just sing the lyrics as they are, but can barely grasp the underlying meaning as their lives and emotions are still simple and innocent.
