Your channel posts are very informative and interesting. You know your business. Exemplary in your job performance. Congratulations! God bless you and yours now and forever. Amen
Emerald, try the battery operated Dewalt Grease gun. The electric action frees up your have for applying and removing from the fittings. I use one to do the maintenance on our TK1400 saw mill and the tractor. Have a great day!
All professionals must keep their tools in clean and tidy. Then the tools will serve them a long time and working with it will not be very tiring. The throw of the dusty debarker cover was unexpected, but the camera was not dropped 🙂. (Hi from Belarus. Harry Davidson).
When you girls work together all day and your siblings, it just means that you do play well with others. I assume you girls still go and get a chance to play like all girls do so darn adorable. They are cute.😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
A friend of mine made a vacuum that is able to suck up sawdust and lite amounts of wood chips and bark and he was able to configure his device to blow everything into a either his front end loader or his dump trailer that he pulls behind his loader. If you guys could devise a similar devise for your yard, it might make your evening downtime quicker and get you home faster.
Hello everybody 👋🏻hope you’re having an amazing Monday and an awesome week ahead. Stay safe healthy and free . Please take care of each other. God Bless us all.🙏😊🇺🇸
Wow thank you Emerald, you’re a great worker thrall, consistent, caring and smart. Love watching you, learning about your work and the importance of being a true professional. Love ❤️
Love to see the effort put into ensuring that your equipment is taken care of properly. One thing I noticed and you might want to pay attention to is the breathing of dust particles. Short term probably not a problem but over a number of years this could prove to be deadly. A simple paper surgical mask would preven the breathing of the dust particles, especially when using the leaf blower. You both wear ear protection when working, respiratory protection should be worn as well
I'd like to plus one this comment. Every year dozens of folks are dying from lung cancer in the NY city area. What they all have in common is they all worked in and around the collapsed towers after the 9/11 tragedy. Those fine dust particles work their way into your lungs, even at a young age like Emerald and Jade, and can cause serious damage later in life. I use the simple RZ Mask M2 whenever I do wood sanding in my garage, even with the door open. Easy to put on and take off, the mask is an easy way to protect yourself.
Great work ethic Em and Jade! I’ve watched Jade shovel truckloads of sawdust! Enough for a ski and snowboard mountain I’m sure! And Em working her mill created all of that sawdust! Snows a coming. Stay warm and safe LCLY!! 👍👍👍👍
Emerald, you may like to take a look at some different grease guns and systems. An Electric Lube-Shuttle with a lock on the end, might make the job easier all around because the system is less messy. Take a look at it and see what you think about that system. The way the grease goes in the grease gun is different and cleaner.
There are several battery operated guns that other people are using in You Tube. I'm even considering getting one. May cost a few extra dollars now, but it would be a little easier in the long run.
@@scottsoper I looked this up and while it appears to have some nice features, for the price for the gun and the extra you pay for the grease it had better grease the equipment itself. Dewalt and Milwaukee both make pretty decent guns at 1/3 to 1/2 the price. Not saying it doesn't work, but we are talking greasing a piece of equipment. Yes, a locking tip is most usable and can be gotten for $15 to $20. Good luck with yours. By the way, are you a salesman for this product??
I'm not a pro on my mill yet, but Wood - Mizer did tell me to take the pressure off the blade when i'm not running it. It looked like your gauge was still up with pressure. I did learn a few things from this video, thank's.
DeWalt makes a battery operated auto geese gun, it takes cartridges.& recharges. Get the dative tip so as not to slide off your zirk fitting, no mess, no fuss and reasonable priced, your welcome.
Good evening all, I'm surprised you don't use some kind of cover for the control panel. Does Woodmiser make one?? Perhaps a large heavy duty trash bag if nothing else. I'd hate to see a cold driving rain cover it in ice. Even covered, wind can put water where it's not intended😢😢 You guys do a really nice job. Yea, maintenance is a royal pain. Don't do it and it costs you even more on parts and downtime. Hope you all stay warm and safe. Keep checking on Boss man in the woods as temperatures start to drop and roads start to get icy. I've spent many days outside as a logbuyer and I know how rough it could get.
Great job ladies at demostrating good practices and tips. The tranitions were good and last one with jade catching was cute. Have fun stay warm and we ll see you beautiful ladies on the next video. Good thunbnail
Not making fun of you Emerald, but at 7:16 you made a little mess. Should have left it in. 😂😂😂 Its happened to me more than once or twice and I was a mechanic. 😂😂 Another cool.video. 😁👍
From Australia. It's summer down here, but by the looks of your Rudoph the Red Nosed Reindeer nose it's winter there. Is there a reason that the axle hasn't been removed and the Wood-Mizer bolted down to the concrete pad?
Great job lady's just a suggestion I would get a air compressor near by and use a air wand you should have no problems with frozen sawdust on your mill ?
Very good ;) Maintenance is key. The double chain is almost end of life? Is somewhat wobbly. And should oiled as well? Or is that done automatically like many motorcycle chains.
I love my electric grease gun.And you need a oil can ,bottle squrt bottle mustard bottle to put trans fluid on your machine.I use used fluid myself if it's just topical.
What about the engine on your sawmill? Do you use fuel additives? You should run a bottle of seafoam in the tank once in a while to keep the engine lubricated there are other products but seafoam is my favorite.
Emerald, you are such a delight to watch, listen and learn! Thank many times over for your candor. Also thanks to your video Grapher, Jade Happy Holidays from my family to yours❤❤😊
Hello Emerald & Jade. I have seen people yank, yank, yank and then some to start blowers and such. Not Jade, one yank and off she goes. Another cool video I must say. Have a wonderful evening all.
You know more than I do, so if I'm off topic here, ignore me. The chain hanging down from the power head does not appear to be lying right - maybe check the manual to see if it requires lubrication? If not, my apologies.
I also think it is very important to be proactive in every facet of keeping equipment lubricated. As a suggestion, I would be interested in the effectiveness of the heated drying kiln. I have a solar Kiln and debating on whether I need to heat it with a Wood-Fired addition. Please let me know how this is worked out for you.
It would be cool if you guys could make and sell compressed sawdust bricks. I just don't know what the profit vs effort curve we would look like on that.
Making brickettes and or woodpellets is unfortunately not that profitable owing to the energy needed. The material must be just the right moisture content, size or it just doesn't work. Drying sawdust is not that simple either. The girls make it into compost already and probably get a better return from that with very little energy required.
I always blow my hay equipment and farm implements off before storing them. Not to clean them but dirt and dust attract moisture and moisture rusts metal.
Woodmizer makes a sawdust conveyor, they just do not have one. For now they don't need one. Hopefully they can get a LT-70 WIDE soon and get some extras like that with it.
I've never really thought about setting my mail on the peg when I'm done. It's always all the way down. But that's really good idea. Just a suggestion though that felt piece you might want to take that off every couple days and scrape it out. My millndoesn't build up on the rail but it builds up on the felt. Also I don't run my mill like you ladies run yours. I'm not a business
I would consider using compressed air to blow off the mill instead of using a brush. I think you can get your mill cleaner more thoroughly. Just a thought.
Good thought. I'm about $800 into a used generator and a new compressor. The same year I bought all my bought me a mini blow from DeWalt for 65 buck. I don't have a stationary spot I travel. So the few minutes with the brush and the blower are well worth lugging around a compressor and generator. And it's cheaper.

I'd put a repurposed hay conveyor in there to move that saw dust out. Not an easy thing but I'm pretty sure Grandpa can work it out.
