    Brian, I really -- and by really I really mean REALLY -- got a lot out of this lesson!!! I have been taking this freelance writing course and with all the experience I have with writing it was only when I started taking this writing course that I found out what I White Paper is. Your lesson was quite informative and truly helped me get better acclimated with how to write one. I cannot possibly thank you enough for that.

    Thank you so much for your video. It is very informative. I heard about White Papers a few weeks ago during one of my graduate courses, and now I am thinking that this will be a good way to publicize a capstone project. The polar bear plunge is exactly right. I can use what I have learned in this video in various ways. You brought up some really good points that can be used while reviewing printed materials, etc.

    What a terrific video! You are clearly knowledgeable and find this topic interesting yourself. I usually get impatient while listening to people read their notes, but your examples are very relevant and your passion makes you personable. Thank you very much!

    For someone starting out is it best to write a sample one first?

    • @BrianBoys
      @BrianBoys  2 года назад

      If you're going to be doing it for a client, it would be a good idea to write an example one first. Even if it's just for your own practice. But if you're writing one for your company, it's OK to have it be your first one.

    I'm looking to develop White Papers for B2B sales force copywriting as authoritative thought leadership proprietary copy source, for lead generation. From there, use as the master copy for sales teams copy templates for sales letters, phone scripts, prospecting and follow up emails, battle cards, case studies, proposals, slide decks, etc. All unified and referenced by the master copy in the controlling White Paper. Any thoughts?

    • @BrianBoys
      @BrianBoys  Год назад +1

      That sounds like a great idea. Basically build everything else off the white paper.

    Where do you place your name on your white paper?

    • @BrianBoys
      @BrianBoys  2 года назад

      It's often done at the very end after the conclusion. On the last page you can have a short About the Author paragraph.

    Are there any VALID reasons NOT to put an author on a paper?
    We don't for ours because we want no individual having any sole credibility overall and also wish for anonymity.
    We are an open-source group though, very different from your usual business I'm sure.

    • @BrianBoys
      @BrianBoys  Год назад

      That's a good reason right there. Also, I've seen white papers credited to some guy in the marketing department. Would have been better to have no author in that case.
