Hi, Eleneh! Thanks, found it at Target lol
I actually loved The Dark Knight as a little girl. I think Batman was like my version at the time of a higher power, I'd talk to him if I got in trouble. Which was not often, but it did happen... Plus I wanted to be called Robin. 😊

Actually sounds really good…may I ask what mic you are using?

Thank you, Lady of the Flowering Light!
Ya know, I'd have to think back on that, whether or not I even had a mic connected. Maybe I did.... I know I mentioned the lack of mic at the mouth of the djembe for the good bass sound, but I'm unable to remember what mic I had set up.
The video was actually originally recorded in Spring of 2020 during lockdown, for my students who were in the middle of an 8-week, in-person Beginner Djembe series with me. So I'd pivoted to Zoom.
And that week's Zoom class accidentally didn't get recorded, so I recorded a full class from home for them. This video is a chunked down and edited portion of it.
But I can ask Jeff about the mic. I know he had mics set up at our store/teaching studio at the time, as he was teaching his 5 ukulele classes a week on Zoom during lockdown. He must've set me up at home to record this class, as I'm NOT at all tech savvy. I know social media stuff well, but not mics and equalizers and cameras and such....
So I'll have to let you know! Be sure to ask again if I forget, as I'm happy to tell you what we have, and what I must've used! 😍

Hi again! I finally got your answer, and I'm happy to share this with you.
The preferred microphone for my videos, is the SE Electronics - X1 Series Condenser Microphone and Clip. Jeff did the research for it, and it's great for speaking and music. It's been our top choice for our own use, like our Open Mic-a-lele Sessions at The Ukulele Place, our online classes and video-recording. It's also what we loved selling to our customers at our music store, The Rhythm Inlet (we closed our store in January, 2022 after nearly 30 years!), because we were confident in this mic's performance and we loved keeping our customers happier than happy.
And the price! Was just under a hundred bucks before the pandemic, then it went up over $100, and we expected it to be well-over that now... Today the price is less than what it was in 2019! You just can't beat the quality of sound, longevity, and performance for this mic. Please let me know if you get it, and what you think if you do! :D

Hi Barbara! You are the second one who has told me about the SE electronic mics so great, thank you! I just ordered one :) It's a different model, the SE 8, it's a small condenser mic good for live too, I'll let you know.

@@eleneh_floweringlight oh wow, that’s cool! Well then please let me know how you like it, if the sE 8 works well for you. Also, I’d love to know about your work and what you’re using it for, my friend! Here to support you 🥰
