I do enjoy watching weddings with individual vows but I love that you had the traditional vows! My husband and I wed 14 years ago to traditional vows before God and the promises we made that day, we have stood by and as we have gone through struggles in sickness and in health, as we have been richer and poorer, in better times and worse times, we have stayed strong, our love has grown stronger and we cherish each other more each day! I know we can conquer anything and that we will be together until death parts us, then God willing we will be together into eternity! Too many young people in their vows forget about the hard times they will face, they don’t pledge to be together forever and it is then not surprising that so many marriages today, end in divorce. This young couple clearly love each other greatly! Heavenly Father, I pray that through sickness and health, they will take strength in each other, as well as from Jesus! I pray, that through richer and poorer, they will find joy in each other and in Jesus, that will see them through all financial blessings and hardships! As they go through the highs and lows, the better times and the worse times, I pray they will always be a team, both as a couple and with the Holy Spirit, ready to face any situation that life throws at them! I pray that they will love and cherish each other more each day, as their love for Jesus grows inside their hearts! May they grow old and grey together, may they be blessed with children and grandchildren and when death tries to part them, may their love and faith in Jesus cover them both, hiding all sins at the seat of judgement, so that together, with Jesus by their side, they may walk into eternity, hand in hand, with a lifetime of beautiful, messy but glorious memories following them! In Jesus Holy name, Amen
