- Today we find something unexpected on our baby so we take him to the doctor to have him checked and we're not too happy with the answer.

After we take our baby to the doctor, I run some errands but I'm having trouble with my memory. It's something that I'm pretty concerned about, but my parents give me some good help.
Calvin is on an endless nap and we try different ways to wake him up for dinner so Calvin and Jackson can go play in the giant hot tub after we eat!

Jared, stress can cause memory lapses that come and go. In my experience it has resolved itself once I learned to ease up a bit.
I can't believe Calvin caught a spider with no issues at 3 yet i'm 20 and can't even go within 10 feet of one! XD
I was SO surprised when he brought it up!
You know I take like febreeze and spray til it's dead 😅 and it makes the room smell nice too and I can kill it at a distant 😅
Jared, you’re tired and you have a ton of responsibilities. It’s totally normal. Try to get more sleep and a calendar and some note paper will help. Seriously, when I am tired I forget everything. And making lists and keeping a calendar is a must for me. I’m not old. Lol
WOW Jared you're a busy man, and work hard with Ellie. I just got a thought, how you're also a new Dad. Sleep deprivation happens for Dad's with newborns, and I don't think we talk enough about the effect it has on men. Thanks for bringing up how much you're doing, and the feeling of forgetting something, being overwhelmed. We all go through times as parents. I think it's good to see reality, discussing challenges, and ways of coping with stress. God bless you and the family.

Yes!!! Breast milk works wonders for ANY skin issues!! It’s awesome for psoriasis, dry skin, rashes...etc.
I had to laugh when you mixed the kids names 😂 it's only the beginning lol my girls just get called lysslivlay whatevseryournameis lol literally all the time!!

My mom always mixed up/combined my sisters and my name. So we would get Muchelleda or Sondelle.

Unrefined organic coconut oil is great for their skin...so is Your milk...i had issues with my newborn skin like this and I switched his bath stuff to Aveeno and use just coconut oil as lotion

My sister posted a film on Facebook that she saw about women loving being grandmas. Couldn't believe it, one of the grandmas featured was Ellie's mum with Jackson and Calvin!
Jared's dad is the greatest, laughing so hard at the balls joke.
My oldest was born in June and for most of the summer suffered from a rash that looks similar. Turns out it was from the heat. Kind of a heat rash. We had to keep it dry and not so covered in the heat of summer.
Not this June, lol hes 7 years old now
Jared as much as you have on your plate would you consider having a daily planner? When things come up you need to do just go to the planner and write it down and hopefully you won’t feel so overwhelmed. Just a thought, I hope this helps! 😘

I have fallen asleep nursing...not very often, but it’s relaxing to nurse a sweet baby.
The bottom dropped out of my cup from Sonic one time. Soda and ice everywhere.
The shortest pencil is better for longest memory. This is going to be my mantra for life.
I’m not sure if anyone else noticed, but I love the way Jared answered the phone when Ellie called!!! He goes “sup girl” 😂. I really hope I find someone fun like that to love one day. ❤️
Jared, that forgetting things happens to me a lot too when I have too many things going on. Busy at work, busy in my personal life, not having a regular sleeping schedule and not sleeping enough. Sometimes I don't even realize I have too much going on and think I can handle it all. I often go to the grocery store to buy something, and forget that something and buy all the other things. I've even thought about having early Alzheimer's and what not, coz our mind easily goes to the worst, but having too many things on our mind can have that effect on memory too. I'm not a planner kind of person, but I've noticed that writing things down on my phone and having reminders on my phone helps me to remember things and not get too overwhelmed. And sleep, sleep, sleep.
Love hearing Ellie talk. I feel like we are just sitting and chatting as friends. I love when she just talks about whatever. I wouldn't mind it that was the whole vlog. Please do a post pardem update!

The rash almost looks like a cold sore after it's drained. I know from previous videos that Ellie gets cold sores, babies can get them anywhere on there body. If tommy gets a fever or to low of a temp, stuff oozing out of the rash, and is not eating well it might be that. It is pretty serious for babies. I am hoping that's not what it is! I am not sure what day you guys are on since the vlogs are out of order. But if he seems fine, that's probably not what it is. Just wanted to inform you just in case. You can never be too careful with babies.
Congratulations Ellie, Jared, and family on your newest addition...I found your channel just before we lost our second baby in miscarriage last week. We have one amazing daughter and your story is giving me hope to keep trying. You all are so precious, prayers love and may the Lord continue to bless you.

I think that this is very normal. Stress and a new baby pregnancy brain is shared between mom and dad. Give yourself a break!!

I'm just speculating, but I'm just wondering if the lack of sleep with the new baby might be the main reason for the memory loss at the moment. I really don't think you have to stress, Jared!

Ellie- look into the Haakaa pump. It is a silicone pump that you attach while feeding baby on the other side. It collects the milk. Super cool.

Jared you should write yourself notes in your phone and set them to remind you later time and date
You could always use your email calendar to make yourself appt reminders. Then use Google Keep to make lists of things. Grocery, Families birthdays, errands, etc...

Jared, I feel like your memory loss at times is due to recent stress with the new baby, Bollie, family cook book, childrens book, the new podcast, Etc. LIFE throws you a doozy sometimes

My baby had a rash like this on her leg! It looked almost the same! I was told it was a strain of herpes lesson 😅. It was so weird. Went away within 2 weeks and no other outbreaks.
Jared it’s a busy time for you all! You got all the business stuff, the church stuff and that comes after 3 kids! Let alone the fact that your getting less sleep because you’ve got a new born!! My best suggestion is to use the reminder app on your phone!!

Yes, before putting any cream, try breastmilk. If it starts to get infected or more irritated, try the cream. Hope it heals fast.

Jared, your memory issue is likely sleep deprivation & lots of projects causing overwhelm. Keep a planner & write task lists for the day if you don't already. Get your vitamin D & B12 checked, both impact memory & energy.
On a more extreme caution, if your memory loss is with headaches that don't go away with meds & fatigue that doesn't go away with more sleep. Get your self to the doc & MRI asap for a brain scan. My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 31 & had those symptoms. Unfortunately it wasn't diagnosed early because they were dismissed as "life stress" & only caught after he had seizures. He survived but now i'm all about people getting checked for reassurance. 😁

My girls are grown and on their own. I love watching you enjoy your babies! I have found myself(several times) calling my dogs by my daughters names!😂😂. I hope we’re all normal !?
I suffer from chronic illness and it causes brain fog meaning i forget EVERYTHING and can’t remember to save my life. I started taking notes of things i need to do or buy in my notes app on my phone and it changed my life! I’d really recommend it, you have a lot going on and it can be very easy to jumble the information and forget.
Hopefully the rash gets better for Tommy Joel. Ellie you always look so beautiful even if u just had a baby. When I had my daughter I was a wreck. I’m hoping it’s different come December.

Sad to see Tommy’s rash.. what I feel this is due to heat... put some breast milk on it.. it will be fine in one or two days.. best remedy for new borns...❤️❤️!! Hope he will get fine soon.😘😘

You have too much on your mind Jared. I am 61 years old and I forget what I am doing all the time.i am busy raising grandchildren so I have too much to remember. You need to write things down to remind you.
Ellie, I always used the medela pump to pump my milk for my babies. It had a cord to charge the batteries/pump or if the batteries are charged then you can pump anyway. It also came with a section for insulation to put warm to stay warm or ice pack to keep cold on too.
would bringing tommy to a dermatologist for a 2nd opinion be a good idea?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but could Tommy's rash be an HSV-1 rash? It looks very similar and I know that cold sores run on Ellie's side of the family. Might be something to look into. I hope he feels better! 💛
