Hi Shade. In the days before homes had bathrooms and indoor toilets, these type of brass water cans were used to carry hot water from the kitchen to the bedrooms (or nursery) for washing or bathing. They have a short, wide spout for quick pouring and a lid to help keep the water hot and prevent spills and scalds. The well-appointed Georgian or Victorian home would have a range of these in different sizes hanging in their kitchen/scullery hence the little hook on the handle. Another great vlog- thanks for sharing!
hellebores are GORGEOUS flowers, i have several in my garden🥰 they are so cheerful because they flower over winter and stay in flower into spring and just get better every year! great plant haul cant wait to see how your garden progresses💕
If you paint on mod podge in random brush strokes it makes it look like it has ridges and swells and dries clear just roughly brush on in a abstract fashion 👍🏻
Loved all the antique shopping. This is the second video I watched today with visits to Rye (Luke Catleugh's vlog was the other), it looks like a beautiful place. Love everything you bought. Homesense are doing some gorgeous prints and frames atm, with a more vintage feel, so right up my street. Have a great Sunday and week ahead 🤎
Hi, i went to Rye too and fell in love with place when i went to Hastings last year , also love the antiques there too and quaint little shop plus the pub that dates back to 13th century..🙂
We will be re-doing/finishing our honeymoon in November this year because when we got married in 2020, we we're called back home to Australia because our government was closing the international borders, so we only got a week out of 3. I'm definitely doing Rye! Thanks for that share😊
when Shade has the same tkmaxx picture I got couple of months ago, (the round one with the yellow background), makes me think I'm winning in interiors xx
Hi Shade, I really enjoyed the video - there was so much variety!! The flowers and art are so nice. P.S. you look so pretty when you go out on the town!
Fantastic vlog amazing haul love it totally cannot wait to see the garden make over . The info on sleep was very interesting and informative thank you for sharing. I must try antique shopping it is very fruitful 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🔥🔥💯💯👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Rye - very film-worthy and historical … both series’ of Mapp & Lucia along with Foyles War, Dr Who, The Darling Buds of May, Monuments Men, episodes of The Crown to name but a few productions filmed there. Lots of it is very unchanged for centuries. Very pretty place Oh - Aubretia = Or-bree-sha I’ve never managed to keep a maidenhair fern - so good luck!
It’s just too big for the room now that I’ve swapped the rooms over. Originally I bought it for when the guest bedroom was going to be the second bedroom in the house but that’s now our wardrobe room. The room’s half the size now! Xx
Thank you for visiting us, it was lovely talking with you and I'm glad you were able to find the perfect set of drawers! Hope to see you again soon :)

Why not paint the wardrobe

@shadeshannon just pass it on, someone else will love it. No guilt needed as long as it doesn't end up in the tip!
