How does one use the divine skills in octopath 2? I've unlocked the samurai's divine skill bit can't use it. He has full BP, full latent power and enough sp but it's greyed out.
It's main purpose is to farm money, not damage. If you want more damage, know that it's a magical attack, and as such, it can break the damage limit with the right magical buffs and passives.
Just about everything maybe a corbon paste copy, but there is one thing I'm glad that remained the same and that's the charging aura they have when they use their BP.
it's actually kind of scary how similar the 2 games really are, even the earlier abilities are largely carbon copies from the original, if not exactly the same, I will be getting this game, and hopefully there's enough new content that I can sink 200 hours in like the first and not burn out early.
Real damage dealt, as in, the frog had only 51 hp left so it collected 51 leaf; just like how in the OT1 video Tressa deals 1680 damage but only collects 1338 leaf. The same limitation happens with the bow skill that gives JP, it's relative to the real damage so it's wasted on a low hp enemy.

I donated BP with Partio and I still can't use the skills? Is there something I am missing? Do I need to complete all the chapters to use the skills? My characters are level 25 and when I click on the ability it's greyed out and I have the 30 SP to use it. Please help!
I have a question, Does Temenos's divine skill work like Throne's latent or like Ophilia's divine skill? because if its the former, then itll be a BP drainer. if its the latter, then you can do double attacks and use less BP like in the original game
Late to the party but it works like Hikari's Hienka. After the round, there is an "extra round" where people with extra actions from Aelfric's and Hienka can act again. Only once, tho, you can't get Hikari to act 3 times in a single round.
sealticge is better in ot1, brand is better in ot2, I think aebers is probably better in 1? the new one is wacky. aelfrics is the better in 1. dohter is def better in 2. i can't decide on alephans. draefendi better in 1.
I'd say alephan is better in ot2 since oswald's latent power has the same effect as alephan in ot1 and you can essentially tripple every magic attack (which was only possible for the sorcerer class in ot1)
@@TheTonGoofylittle bit late but aelfric is probally the best divine skill having an extra action for 3 turns is insane stacking this on 2-3 group members means 2 turns per character per round. The worst still claims bilfelgans bounty with horrible damage and not even worth to farm money with.
I saw from NintendoLife's video that one crossed path questline said part 1 implying there's a part 2 if not more. This means there will definitely be more character interactions at least with 2 characters to each other

@@banehayat7342 Boost your character to max boost. The move will only be available while your character is in max boost.

Interesting change they made to the Cleric's divine skill. Shame that Bifelgan's bounty had no changes at all. That one was always underwhelming.
It was great for me, I got fat stacks of cash off of it

Didn't you get all skills for everyone for each job?
Max bp is used for those skills. Below that they cannot be used.

It the skill is suppose to give money equal to the amount of damage it did but it didn't do that here.

You can hit boss enemies with this skill in the OG and collect 99,999 leaves lol

As long as you are Full Boosted and have the SP, you should be able to use them. Beating their stories is not a requirement.

Compared to H'aanit, who was a stone cold badass, Odette is kinda underwhelming.

I prefer Aeber's in OT1 too, 2 is so trash looking. Aelfric's in 2 got nerfed so RIP cleric is now worst class in the game.

Could you discuss the "cross paths" are they deep or just another side quest? I know a lot of us are concerned that the characters don't interact🤦🏾♂️
