I live about 40 mins north of NYC in Westchester County and my co-op interview was a very friendly welcome to the neighborhood type of conversation…so I guess ya never know!
Thanks very much for your advises If I would watch your channel before would not be running in so much trouble while trying to buy my coop and now after I bought it, working with a professional real state agent who explains you everything from the beggining is so important, my real state agent was very unprofesional, asked me for overprice the property, being my first time I did not know and paid much more, when I fist visited my now- co op unit, and I smelled something heavy like to smoke, she said, not is not smoke is the fresh panting, I decided to go under contract, after that she stated she changed her mind and told me yes, people living there were smokers, then she did not help me to complete the application properly, the board returned it to me, I needed to do almost everything myself with no guidance. I have the feeling she, my real state agent, earned more then $6000 for just opening the door of the coop unit, showed it to me for less than 5 minutes and gave me the application papers, how easy can someone makes money when we are not educated enough in this topic.
Thanks for this story, and I'm so sorry your deal was so problematic. That's why I do these videos -- NYC Real estate can be very tough, so I just try to help people understand a bit in advance of what they are going to deal with. Hopefully if you ever move again you'll be much more educated! :)
Hey Michael - I don’t have any rankings per se, my advice is always to use someone in NYC who works with CoOp and condo deals in a regular basis to ensure a smooth deal. I do know that right now all my mortgage partners are offering some very interesting products to help my clients get their interest rates down, and a few of my current clients have gotten really good rates (comparatively speaking). Happy to give you a few recommendations!

Thanks! Much appreciated. :)
Have any rankings right now of specific mortgage lenders/banks to use to lock down the best interest rate/closing cost benefit?
