Hi Laurin! You should definitely do it! The company did ask if we had experience riding scooters and my husband has motorcycles so I felt confident. Maybe practice at home and let loose in Italy! 💋🛵 Are you going to Italy soon?
On their website it said non-European residents would have to show an international motorcycle driving license. Did they actually check? From other reviews of their shop, it said they only asked for a regular driver license.
Yay so glad I found this video. We leave to the Amalfi Coast end of this month and we are only there for 3 days. I want to go to Ravello one day and I was wondering what is the best way to get there is. Do you recommend this versus taking a taxi?
Hi! Thank you for watching! You are going to love the Amalfi Coast! If you have experience and feel comfortable I would rent a vespa. If not, get a taxi or you can take the sita bus (public bus). Where else in the Amalfi Coast are you visiting?
@@nicolelazotravel Ok thanks. My husband would be the driver. I’m just wondering because I don’t want him being too stressed if it’s a crazy drive. We are staying in Praiano actually and I wanted to see Ravello and possibly do a private boat tour along the coast. I’m a little worried about the weather but we aren’t there until May 29 so maybe by then it’ll get better. Right now it shows rain almost everyday. Thanks so much for the suggestion. If you have any other suggestions, please share! ☺️
Rent a scooter if you can. It is really fun! The weather should be nicer by the end of May! My top towns to visit along the coast would be Positano, Capri (by boat/ferry) and the town of Amalfi. I’m going to post a video about taking our Vespa to Fiordo di Furore next week. That is a great place to swim under the bridge and see the locals jump off the rocks! There are also paths and hikes you can do too along the coast. I have a whole Italy playlist with info about other places in Italy if you want to check it out. I spent a lot of time in Tuscany last year. Enjoy! ruclips.net/p/PLdQ4iCBKL8TBA0_ATd13ndbf63u3WVoMN
What time of day did you arrive in Ravello? We are visiting in September and have a scooter booked for a day, I'm trying to decide how early to go there! Thinking about parking, etc.
Hi! Thanks for comment! We arrived around 12ish. It was a very sleepy town with few people but we still had to park in a garage and they shuttled us up to the town. Have fun!
Amazing, I will be there next month! Can you tell me the company where you rent your Vespa? I want to rent one to but I'am always afraid to be scam on those companies xD
I know, I was concerned too. This is the link of the rental company we rented the vespa from in Positano and it was perfect! I hope you have a great time! Let me know if you have any other questions about the Amalfi Coast or you can check out my Italy playlist on my youtube channel! Thank you so much for watching! www.positanorentascooter.it/en/prodotto/vespa-125-spring-2/ 🛵
Hi! Yes, they asked us to send a photo of the drivers licenses of those driving through WhatsApp a day or two before we rented them. You don't need a special license but you should feel comfortable riding a vespa or motorcycle. They asked us to make sure we knew how already. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
@@nicolelazotravel I think I know where you’re talking about. We have the same lights here in California on narrow mountain roads when they turn too narrow. Or when there is a bridge or tunnel that is too narrow.
You had sunny days! Beautiful
Yes! We got so lucky with the weather! It only rained once but we were already swimming so it was totally fine!
This looks like an awesome way to spend a day! We’ve always been afraid of scooters but I think you convinced us!

Your video is very useful for us as we are planning to visit. Beautiful views & Lovely vlog 💕. Keep it up 👍
Thank you so much for your support! Let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy Italy!
I love riding in positano!!!
Isn't it the best? I love vespas! Thanks for watching!

They checked for a regular ID for us. Maybe that’s a new requirement for them.
This was my favorite town

@@nicolelazotravel do the scooter rental company ask for deposits? And i can see that they charge 90-95€ per day is that means 24 hr?
Hi! Yes we paid a 70€ deposit. You’ll have to check with them about how long, but it might be for 24 hours.
You didn’t know what a red light meant?
We didn’t think it was a traffic light because no one was around. 🤷🏽♀️

Yep, that sounds similar. We we’re going up a small curvy road.
