Translation
From far and silent starry skies
Echoes a song full of life.
Crossing a darkness of thousands of light years,
It finally arrives at a single earth.
With eyes closed just so,
Like a faraway prayer,
So that one day
Our dreams will come true.
Time is so long that
These tiny palms can barely hold it.
At the end of a million-mile voyage,
We can still run across smiling faces.
Now, wet with tears,

One day, life will fill the universe again. And Hermes will see this and smile. How, I do not know. But I do know that, where there is a will, there is a way. After all, miracles happen every day, do they not?

If any of the Final Fantasy games have an anime. (and I mean a series not a movie.) This should be THE ending theme. Kinda ironic, I know.

@FinalFantasyNippon3 I don't know. That's the title of the album & the song, which mentions praying a dream. I think all of the songs on this album have lyrics that don't neccessarily have anything to do with the actual story the song is for in the games.

@FinalFantasyNippon3 what do you mean? this is the vocal version of Final Fantasy. It's the theme of all Final Fantasy games, although it's not in some of the recent ones.

A whole decade too late to be able to answer TheOnionFighter in any meaningful way, but for any new watcher who wonders the same, YES, this vocal version and these lyrics are both official. Part of "Final Fantasy Vocal Collections I: Pray" almum (1994).
In words of composer Nobuo Uematsu in that album,
