Good work.
Unfortunately, this is not a vise for a workbench. It is a vise for a milling machine.
Thanks for your comment, yeah we know it, but we don't have mill in our workshop which these vices would fit, so for now they work like workbench vises, but in a future they will work as intended
Nice to see content from Ukraine, thanks!
Thank you)
Fantastic work and I'm kinda glad you don't have a mill, so you don't go overboard. You got it cleaned up & in good working order. It's a vice, not a piece of jewelry. Read your blog and it looks like your Dad's abandoned garage has a few treasures left for you to explore and I look forward to seeing them. #Cheers
Thanks a lot. We are very grateful that you read our blog too, sorry they haven't been translated into english yet but I'm working on it right now.
@@stryico No worries. Google just does it for me when I hit the right button.. lol Keep up the good work!
Awesome, that is one monstrous vice, super heavy duty. God bless!
Thanks a lot, God bless you too
Awesome work my friend. Hope your are still safe!
Sincere greetings from Ukraine, thank you for your comment
Hope you're well. Good Luck.
Thank you for your support, greetings to you
great video mate, what a beast of a vice
Thanks, yes they are)
A beautiful addition to your other great work!
Thanks, yeah they are really convenient addition to our workshop, and they help us with another projects
@@stryico 😅😅
Very nice!
Thanks a lot
Nice job!
Thanks a lot
That vice used to be a beautiful milling machine vice! Unfortunately without the correct tools, you won't be able to bring it back to its former glory, but you have certainly saved it from being scrap!
Thanks for your comment, yeah, we don't have great milling machine YET, but for future I think, we will back to this project
@@stryico that would be a great video :D
I kinda thought the same thing. Like filling the dents with bondo? What? But if you don't have a mill it definitely makes for a better looking finished product.
When you do have a mill and want to properly finish this restoration, it would be worth getting rid of the filler on any of the surfaces that will need to be machine and fill it with a metal epoxy instead. You will then be able to machine the surfaces and get an acceptable finish.
Thanks a lot for your comments. Now about bondo, because as I see people confused about this. The main thing what you must understand, is that I put it on NO-working surfaces(on sides), because this vises has not the best casting quality. Dents are on visible sides, and for cosmetic reason I fill it, but I don't touch working surfaces, and jaws, because they are in not bad shape, and as I write before I don't have big enough mill yet)
That's not a restoration, that's a clean and paint.
Nice work. Keep it up.
Thanks for your support
Un abrazo desde Argentina
Thank you, we are very pleased
Nice work. you took a neglected vise and turned it into something extremely functional for your shop. Do you think you will make any soft jaws out of aluminum for it?
Thanks for your comment, now we used this vises every day, they are really handy. about soft jaws it very cool idea, we think about it
That’s a vice!!
Thanks for your comment, yes they are
I am watching the news daily. You deserve PEACE🐦 No white one. Great job. One of my co-workers is from their. He is a fantastic Man. His Mom lives in Poland.

Time for a media blasting cabinet.

At least I think that translates
Thanks a lot
The jaws should be turn up side down, thought
Thanks for your comment, we already turned jaws upside down.
Is the vice Available for sale?
Actually that is/was a high precision vise fora milling machine
originally yes, but since we do not yet have such a large milling machine, for now it will work as a simple vice
Great work. Best wishes against the Russians. It's amazing to see how well you folks are able to carry on with your lives in the face of the invasion. FYI, I have no problem with the U.S. sending Ukraine all the weapons we can. That being said, I hope you understand that I still would not support sending troops to fight along side of you.
Thanks for your support.
I hope, that you are still safe.
Thank you for your support
the jaw plates are upside down
OMG !! Do you not own a socket set ??
Vice envy… evidently it’s a thing.
Thanks for your comment
Why did you not paint the side of the red disc?
Hi, thanks for your comment, yeah we forgot about that, thanks for noticing, we already did it
You put the jaws on upside down 🤣 .. they are supposed yo pull the work down as you tighten it, not push the work out. Look back at the start before you disassembled it
Thanks for your comment, we already turned them over.
half the job, that should be a restoration???
This is the worst restoration, what i have ever seen.
Next time you can just wipe it with a rag.
Dnipro M ;)
