Thank-you. This song has been close to my heart since we sang it in class in the 5th grade (about 17 or so years ago). There are certain places here in Germany that remind me of home and I try to get to them everyday. Believe it or not, but they actually grow corn here and we drive by the fields often. But nothing beats good old Nebraska hospitality. We three families didn't even know each other, but we talked like old friends about our home state.
I did a project for school where we had to write a report of a fictional ten day roadtrip through a random state and I got Nebraska :)

I miss home!!! Nebraska the good life! Having spent time in MT, ND, IlL, and now in WA, I've come to realize its the people. Get a flat tire in any other state and no one stops to help, get a flat in Nebraska and you'll spend more time saying thanks for stopping then you will fixing the flat!
My mom had a flat tire years ago. A Dr. stopped and fixed it. He didn't say who he was and my sister recognized him. He was a surgeon!

While I was born in Minnesota, I grew up in Omaha and claim it as "home." I now live near San Diego, California, where I publish a weekly newspaper. This piece was forwarded to me by Suzanne Van Dusen, a former Benson High School alum, with whom I've stayed in touch since our 50th high school reunion. The photo art was fantastic and brought many pleasant memories flooding back. Well done. And Thank you! lyle e davis, Benson High School class of 1956.
Beautiful....after watching this I feel like I went on a mini-vacation across Nebraska without the long drive on treacherous winter roads we would have now! I am a native Nebraskan(Ralston) and was a member of Scarlet and Cream Singers in 75-76 and 76-77. I always loved singing this song at our various events. The audience would always love it too. I especially love hearing it now since I live in the Seattle area and get homesick now and then!

I love Nebraska so much. Idk know if the it's the best state in the whole country because well it's kind of stupid to try to say this state is bettter than that state. Either way I live and have lived here since I was a baby and I love it. It's kind of boring and some time the weather is well...werid and annoying,but I wouldn't trade it for any other place. I love reading books about early Nebraska from authors like Bess Streeter Aldrich. It makes me wish I could have seen this state then.

Born, raised and still living in Omaha (Millard) Nebraska.....I have no plans/reasons to move anywhere else......I have EVERYTHING I want or need right here.

While in grade school in Lincoln, Nebraska we used to watch a tv show on ETV with Roger Manley singing this song. Learned alot about the state from that show.
If you eat right, exercise right, be humble and act right, don't get angry but be right, when you die you might go to Nebraska. Does anyone remember that Nebraska t-shirt? Chimney rock used to be taller. My brother and his friends tried to climb it in the 60's. One of them got hurt when he fell but recovered. My home town is Scottsbluff.
I know Mrs. Anderson from my kids' former school and she is absolutely awesome. I heard her sing at Unity Church two years ago and she was absolutely inspiring.
Wonderful video... makes me miss home a lot. Nebraskans go all over the globe and represent the state with a great attitude, passion, integrity, and spirit of happiness. Everyone comments about the unbelievable optimism that comes from the state. Hold your head high Nebraska, many of the greatest people on earth are there and will continue to be for all time. Living abroad has made me realize that home is such a wonderful place. There's a strong force pulling me home, can't wait to be back. =)
hey wen i came back from las vegas wen we were close by the airport i didnt know Nebraska was so green like savein the earth green cuz there was so much land instead of cities & all u see is lites tall buildins i was born here in Ne. & i love the pics of ScottsBluff i was born there but now i live in columbus,Nebraska i still love this place! :)

Not going to mention the people and things that started in NE ... the one thing I will mention is the 911 service was started in Lincoln. I have been watching videos that are made to relax people from the air in all the countries. So, the quality has spoiled me.

Nebraska kicks ass. I've been to all but like two of those places. Nebraska is beautiful, and It's not about football either. The people here are nice, ignorant to cruelty; maybe, but ignorance is bliss.

Now I'm completely homesick. My husband is stationed in Germany and when we went to the Independance Day celebration in Grafenwoer, there were three families right next to each other that were wearing Nebraska shirts! Does that mean we equate Nebraska with freedom?

during Nebraska Legislature Committee hearings in early 2007 where it was afforded a "unanimous" vote to be retained as the State Song through further support of The Beautiful Nebraska Foundation. I grew up across the RR tracks from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln and am as big a fan of Husker football as there is.
Okay, I know this wasn't the state song in 1967 during the Centennial. (This is MUCH Better)
i worked in Lincoln at the Panera by campus during college, washing dishes, eating off customers' plates
"There is No Place ..." is a legend of a Husker football fight song and stands on its own as such and probably always will perhaps side by side with the current State Song Beautiful Nebraska. There is always something to be said for "tradition" and it will always be challenged and that is healthy enough.

This one is NOT an official Nebraska video but merely the official Beautiful Nebraska State Song video sponsored by the Beautiful Nebraska Foundation. It's all about preserving the state song and helping Kids and things along this vein. While the sea of RED is very important it shares the spotlight with all the other things seen in the video and that which is ALSO Nebraska. Hopefully one day soon you will again see UNL baseball at the Omaha College World Series.

My cousins live in Nebraska, and weather wise it is the worst state i've ever been in. The people are nice and they're is cool stuff to do there(go big red btw) but during the summer its like 110 degrees with some crazy humidity percentage and the winter is like negative 20 it's crazy
The humidity is mostly in the eastern portion. Out west, in the panhandle, it is dryer. But, there are very few trees out there and the wind in the winter will go right through you. There is NOTHING to stop the wind on the Nebraska prairie. I lived most of my life along the UPRR between Elkhorn and Fremont. My Dad worked for them. He retired and moved to Kimball, in the panhandle.
