Great Job Sir! I saw many videos for Alapin. I didn't like Gotham Chess because he focuses on move orders rather than focusing on ideas plans.

Cool stuff, I'll give this a go. I currently go for the 2... Nf6 line where I know a little bit of theory - learned it also because it's easy to decline the Morra into that, shame on me -, but I never quite understood Black's plans in that line.
Now that I have covered the morra for you, you can easily swap. That said, nothing wrong with Nf6 either!

fantastic stuff. I know you're principally an e4 guy but I'd love to see you take a look at some d4 stuff, especially some of the tricky hypermodern stuff in the indian defense family (QID, grunfeld, KID, nimzo, something like that)
I am only biased towards e4 because I know it better, but I value d4 just as highly! Will definitely cover some stuff later!

thanks once again :) I personally love to play the IQP against the alapin and white usually goes for it, so I don't even think much about this variation :D
One might mention that I had a couple of people play 1. e4 c5 2. c3 d5 3. e5!?, which after Bf5 you very likely transpose into a french-type structure with the "bad bishop" outside the pawn chain. Nc6 is another move here. Maybe a lower-rated blitz thing?I don't know
yea, I omitted early e5 pushes as they allow black very problem free equality, as per described by you!

Technically if you buy it without the video, it is an interactive e-book. That said, along with most reviews, I would highly recommend to buy it with video!
repertoire-wise, what do you recommend against the delayed alapin? 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. c3? do you lose a tempo with d5 anyway or go for Nf6? how does it differ from the 2. c3 line?
After the correct nf6 ( definitely not delayed d5) white does not have e4-e5 which is why it’s not really good.
It seems to me like if you're a 2. d6 player, you should play the nf6 line since it works just as well in the 3. c3 lines and if you're a 2. nc6 player you should play 2. d5 since you could transpose into the same line in the delayed alapin

Hello Andras great video! i've dreaded the alapin for a long time, but hopefully i will do better next time i face it. I don't quite understand why you default square for the queen is d6 as it blocks our own bishop. In my mind it would be better placed on d8, but i'm sure your idea is better, i just don't like playing moves i don't understand. Is the idea to potentially fianchetto the bishop on f8?
