The common winter food I grew up with in the Midwest USA was tomato soup. Usually with some small vegetables and grilled cheese sandwiches. It was something I always looked forward to as a kid coming in from school or on weekends from being outside most of the day.
Next week i Will arrive to Japan from Korea. I am cycling. I have no shoes, no sleeping bag. Till now it was ok in Korea. I hope it will be good in Japan too. Mostly I sleep on the road
You forgot ヒートテックユニクロ bought some socks, pants and shirts before I left back to the US. Already miss the great restaurants and coffee shops especially in 中野
They are so warm and I always wear them in winter😘 I wanted to introduce them but they aren't foods or drinks😂 Nakano is a chill place👌 I like it too! Please be back here whenever you want to! Thank you for watching as always😊
Living in Australia I use ginger in winter but had not thought of adding chicken stock- great idea which I’ll try when it eventually gets cold. Didn’t know that miso is heating, thank you for that information so I’ll avoid it in summer. Today I had some with my noodles but it was cooler than usual so that was ok. In winter here I like to cook curry, and also use some chilli and garlic. Your information on Japanese life is much appreciated 🙏
Thank you for watching😘 Chicken stock with ginger is delicious so please give it a try! Curry is also a warm food in winter. I like it too😊 Much appreciated too!
Konnichiwa, Nao! I lived in Japan for 2 years back in 1988 and 1989. I loved it! I still, to this day, have warm miso soup with root vegetables for breakfast in winter. I drink hot water, too! I LOVE hot water. When available, I drink a hot fresh ginger and turmeric tonic, too. I always have hot drinks in winter! God bless you, dear friend! Love your channel. ❤
I have two questions regarding the hot pot dishes. 1. Does any pan work for a hot pot dish? Or do you specifically need the hot pot itself? 2. What is the best way to rewarms your hot pot dish again? Also, great video!
Thank you for watching and your questions😘 >1 You can use any pans! >2 I sometimes use a microwave oven but reheat with a small pan is also fine! (I mostly reheating only amount I eat) Enjoy your hot pot!
Thanks for the breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
For some reason Japan refuses to make warm homes with central heating & boilers like the rest of the world, even Korea has warmer homes. It's very odd. Then you wouldn't need all those heaters and tables that take up space and waste electricity anyway.
@@JapanwithNao Did you add any seasoning to the hotpot dish you made? The color of the broth changes when you turn it into ankake so did you add something there too? Ps. The thumbnail still is hard to understand :D
I used bonito soup stock for basic soup. And I used soy sauce soup stock for ankake 😉 Thank you for telling me about the Thumbnail! I'll work on it later again😂
Is there anything special you eat or drink in winter? Thank you for watching! Please try any Japanese winter food you find interesting😘
