The thing that blows my mind is that they claim they watch your videos but they still think that they can outsmart you. They’ve seen you’ve been rumbled by them loads of times and they still think that they’ve done something brilliant. The level of hubris is phenomenal, it’s a shame they don’t have the smarts to back it up.

I'm Brazilian, and I remember once gaining access to a scammer's webcam through a PDF file he opened. I can't remember the name of the T.I teacher who taught me this, but I'm eternally grateful for the knowledge I have today... I saved a lot of people.

Their groups are getting larger and larger and spreading in india rapidly. The middle/lower incoming families are the main target of their scams, and the aggrieved families become economically imbalanced and mentally stressed after getting scammed. And there are no permanent solutions government also can do. The scammers are becoming a sirious issue in india, It feels soo satisfying to watch them getting bullied like this by you guys.

New scam I avoided. I am a physician. I got a voicemail from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be an agent from the DEA. He knew my state license number. I didn’t return the call. My patients have informed me that they are getting calls that seem to come from my office with a man claiming to work for me and trying to get them to buy things and telling the patients that I want them to buy these items. Fortunately my patients haven’t bought anything. I don’t have any male employees.

My mother asked me if I had used her account to buy a $500 PS5. I told her she should know better to think I would use her account to buy anything let alone for that much. I walked to her house not thinking much of it, I found her on the phone talking to a man with a heavy accent, which I was 50/50 about cause most support calls are the same, but he started telling her how she needs to go get gift cards, I started motioning for her to hang up and my mother being stubborn would hold her hand up to me to be quiet and I was not about to let it go, I wanted so bad to click the hangup button or just be loud and say something, but I am a little more respectful than that, so when my huffing and puffing lasted long enough getting slightly louder, she eventually hung up when he asked for her social security number along with me nagging her. So thanks to you, my knowledge on the subject was enough to save her probably all her money in her account. But they now know what type of account it is and what bank it is, hopefully that is not enough to do anything with, but I told her they will probably save that info for future attempts.

I had them talk my mother into handing over her pension account log info. Luckily I came upstairs and I'm actually a network engineer technically even though I don't work in the field. So I actually have the skills to mess with them if I want to. This guy had the audacity to ask who was in the background and then asked for my social insurance number (like an American SSN) so I got on the phone and stayed logged into my mother's account. While I did that I put him on hold and told him to talk to my mother for a second while I went to go get my social insurance number. While I had him on hold I called the government and was able to lock him out of my mother's account but they told me that if it wasn't for the fact that I called immediately and my mother was still logged in she would have been logged out of it and she never would have been able to get back in without it being like a three or four months hassle. So that would have been 4 months of them stealing her pension and I'm sure that's what their plan was

Not actually accurate for all PC keyboards. My current keyboard has an arrow on the main one, and just the word Enter on the number pad, but I've had PC keyboards with both. I even have an old PS2 keyboard with Chinese characters in addition to the normal ones. Came from some Chinese student at the university. I ought to dig out some of my older, pre-PC keyboards to compare them. My collection runs back to the late 70s, so some of them are pretty different.
The concept of differring keyboards doesn't fit in their world view. They only believe what they have seen. Which apparently was 1 mac and 1 windows keyboard. 😅

Not how VPNs work at all, they aren’t security tools. The only reason you actually need a VPN is if you’re frequently on unsecured networks (which largely don’t exist anymore) sending important information through them (which again you are most likely not doing), for stuff like they do in these videos where you’re connecting to malicious actors’ systems, or if you’re torrenting pirated content. Anyone who actually needs a VPN knows who they are, don’t fall for the constant advertising. VPNs are great tools, although you should really only buy mullvad, but general traffic on the internet has been extremely well secured for a long time now. I’m all for creators getting paid but the framing of VPNs as a necessity for everyone on the internet, especially from people who are technologically oriented channels, really borders on scummy. It’s telling people they need a product they most likely don’t actually and preying on the desire for privacy that the product doesn’t actually provide.

I just had a friend of mine get cooked by one of these scammers. But it was a website that he clicked on and it created a pop-up that made a noise and claimed his computer was locked. He didn't know to just quit his web browser, he called the 800 number and got sucked in to the script. Luckily he quit the call before anything happened. These Mother F'ers make me so mad! The biggest counter to these attacks would be a virtual machine [or i am mistaken] because with a virtual machine you could easily recover fast from any attacks like these, What SP really needs to do is to make a virus than can attack through a virtual machine.

a simple ssd replaement will recover the pc of the scammer... He should have sent some kind of cpu cooking program to that scammer.

Not how VPNs work at all, they aren’t security tools. The only reason you actually need a VPN is if you’re frequently on unsecured networks (which largely don’t exist anymore) sending important information through them (which again you are most likely not doing), for stuff like they do in these videos where you’re connecting to malicious actors’ systems, or if you’re torrenting pirated content. Anyone who actually needs a VPN knows who they are, don’t fall for the constant advertising. VPNs are great tools, although you should really only buy mullvad, but general traffic on the internet has been extremely well secured for a long time now. I’m all for creators getting paid but the framing of VPNs as a necessity for everyone on the internet, especially from people who are technologically oriented channels, really borders on scummy. It’s telling people they need a product they most likely don’t actually and preying on the desire for privacy that the product doesn’t actually provide.

Indeed, doubt they block the bios. If you're tech savvy, format and reinstall is more like 15 minutes with a USB key.

And if they just use a random service like onedrive or wtv to store the important info, they don't even lose anything besides a couple hours.

I just had a friend of mine get cooked by one of these scammers. But it was a website that he clicked on and it created a pop-up that made a noise and claimed his computer was locked. He didn't know to just quit his web browser, he called the 800 number and got sucked in to the script. Luckily he quit the call before anything happened. These Mother F'ers make me so mad! Go get em Perogi & Team! We appreciate everything you do!
