DIY Adjustable Nut Cracking Machine (Powered by Cordless Drill)

This DIY adjustable nut cracking machine can crack any nuts of any size. It has simple design and can be powered by cordless drill. This nutcracker can process a full bucket of walnuts (or other nuts) in seconds!
Here is my homemade machine that I made for cracking nuts/shelling automatically.
This machine can crack walnuts, hazelnuts, macadamia, black walnuts, almonds, pecans, cashews...

It is made from some commonly found metal and rpm reducer and some free time. A very cool metalworking project!
The nut thickness can be adjusted by a screw.
It is powered by a regular drill, but it is possible to mount an AC motor if longer operation would be needed.

1:20 or 1:15 ratio works well.

Hmm, pretty good, might try it. An sds drill runs slower with more torque, with a lid added it might work

I would really love to see a diy oil press. That way after you crack the nuts you can press them and make oil. I've been wanting my hubby to make me an oil press for a while. Cool projects you create.
